This stop motion music video was produced by me for a 3rd yr video project at UNSW, the theme was responding to NASA'S LCROSS mission to 'blow up' the moon for samples. What would happen then? This video entails what happens when a piece of moon mysteriously falls upon a girl, transforming her reality into a range of whimsical, fantasy like places. This video was made up of over 450 photographs shot over two days, totaling a 3 month production from concept to finished product.This was my first time using a DSLR camera (Nikon D90) and working with stop motion. Editng Program: Final Cut Pro. Aussie cameraman Joe Previtera fell off the machine in front of 52858 fans at the Melbourne Cricket Ground during the game - being beamed to millions of homes around the world. As he rode around the pitch filming the players he failed to spot the spare helmet which he promptly hit - causing the embarrassing fall. As the match commentators burst into laughter Australian wicketkeeper Brad Haddin helped Previtera back to his feet. But after the embarrassing fall Previtera managed to retain his sense of humour and bowed to the crowd. In 1993, Cassidy had a malignant mole removed from her back. Three years later, during a promotional event for the Live at Blues Alley album in July 1996, Cassidy noticed an ache in her hips, which she attributed to stiffness from painting murals while perched atop a stepladder. The pain persisted and a few weeks later, X-rays revealed that the melanoma had spread to her lungs and bones. Her doctors estimated she had three to five months to live. Cassidy opted for aggressive treatment, but her health deteriorated rapidly. In her final public performance in September 1996, at the Bayou, she closed the set with "What a Wonderful World" in front of an audience of friends, fans and family. She was subsequently admitted to Johns Hopkins Hospital. Cassidy died at her family home in Bowie, November 2, 1996, at the age of 33. She was posthumously inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Washington Area Music Association. In accordance with her wishes, Cassidy's body was cremated.
