I tossed a few classic amps i had laying around up on the test bench today just to make sure they still work. This amp, the Rockford Fosgate BD1500 was a dream come true to me at one point in my life and after playing with it today, i see why i loved it so much. This thing is a BEAST, even by todays standards. Even the classic Rockford Fosgate Punch HX2 10" woofer was gettin' busy in the trunk. This thing sounded clean and very accurate, hitting the lows with ease. Its always fun hooking up old equipment so i will do more of these soon! I am waiting on the other 2 woofers to get here, in the meantime i wanted to play with the new SMD/AA Subs that are just about ready for release. My test bench has a Rockford Fosgate 200 watt amp on it running off of a XSpower D680 Battery. I just wanted to see if i could get it moving. It moves pretty good considering the woofer can handle 20x the power i am putting on it with ease. Final RMS ratings to come. If you know what i am running you know how much power will be on these and it should be insane! These subs are Dual .7 ohm -

tonite we put my new SMD woofers into the Tahoe. Took the old BTL's out. They are still in perfect condition after a year and a half! Time for the test drive of the new SMD's though! 6600 Watts on each one! THere are 2 Rockford Fosgate T2500.1bd amps on each woofer (one per coil) and all my amps benched between 3250 and 3400watts each (1ohm, 14.4v) . Woofers are dual .7's and i am @ 15.5vdc so you do the math -

I just got a new Sony DSC-TX7 1080 handheld camera and i figured what would be better then some good old fashion woofer porn! It seems to be a GREAT camera, especially for its size. I dropped a 16gig card in it and im good to go. Now for the numbers you see on the meter....please remember, 21hz - go play a 21hz test tone on your system and let me know what that sounds like before you tell me a 146.7 is a shitty number LOL! Its not a world record but its pretty damn violent at that low of a frequency. Most peoples systems will not even pick this note up let alone even register on the meter at this low of a frequency. Last week, i did much higher numbers but also up in the 37-47hz range (see the youtube vids i posted) I am tuned to 30hz so i am actually playing below tuning by doing this - the SMD subs are ROBUST and they can take it if you are careful. I had Rockford Fosgate P1 8" woofers in my door but i needed some that could handle the amount of power i have available. These should pretty much do the trick! The Rockford Fosgate P2's are now Dual 4's ran in Parallel (2 ohm final) and occupy half of one of the T1000.4's. If you have a computer woofer turn it up! This video is almost all with the subs off till the end and it STILL KNOCKS!

i was hanging out at my shop trying to make a video with my new computer that i got the other day (see the previous video's) when i heard my front door making some noise. I went out to see who was there and it was a young man and his girl along with their mother and son - they wanted to hear the Tahoe and stopped by for a quick Saturday morning bass demo. Both songs hit very hard of course but what really moves the wind is those lows so the second song is more like a hurricane being ac/s version. this is one way to break a honda back window with just one sub....due to the wall (aka very large speaker box) that was installed in this car, i had no access to the back window and it needed to be re-tinted. I figured i would just break it out and have a glass guy come in and drop a new one in, ready to go. So instead of just breaking it out i figured i would have some fun. The glass guy came, dropped a 0% tint job (yes, 0% pure black) on it and installed it. I gave him a demo to show him what im about at the end. Anyway that is the reason i broke the window - no need for all the shit talkin! It was fun, and breaking stuff, especially glass, is always fun!!!
