Adele Live Vocal Range: C3-F5 (2008-2011)

Adeles live vocal range I believe adele to be a MEZZO, her voice seems to resonate higher than a true contralto and she doesnt posses a true manly, dark contralto voice. Her lower register is strong but seems to fall into the same catergorisation as other mezzo's. It could be argued she is a lyric contralto which is deemed mezzo by alot of musical practices.

Matt Bellamy is the lead singer of british band Muse. I used their five studio albums (from 'Showbiz' to 'The Resistance') this means I'm NOT including b-sides (I don't have them all, I'm not such a big fan), plus some live performances for the last high notes. Low Notes: A2-E3 Belted Notes: G4-Bb4 Falsetto/Head Voice: C5-D6 Excuse me if there are any mistakes. Matt's falsetto is insane and sometimes it's hard to tell which note it is. Anyway, enjoy!

The Vocal Range of Jack Black: (A1-)C♯2-E♭5(-B7)

Though widely known as a comedian and an actor, Jack Black is also a really accomplished singer. He has recently started to showcase his vocal talents properly in songs by Tenacious D, showcasing many different styles in more and less serious ways. Black's natural voice type is a low tenor, but he can do a fantastic baritonish sound which makes his voice sound much lower than it actually is. Some of his cleaner high notes reveal that his true power comes up there though, which makes Black a really formidable singer, who can demonstrate both his baritonish and tenorish moments well. 1. 0:00 - Quick B2 from "The Metal". 2. 0:09 - Unreleased "Jesus Farm" with a descend down to B2. 3. 0:16 - Strong B2s and short B♭2 from "Classico" with some light B4s after those notes. 4. 0:22 - Easy A2s from "Fuck Her Gently". 5. 0:36 - Short A2s from "City Hall". 6. 0:52 - Spoken G2 from "Double Team". 7. 1:01 - Short spoken F♯2 from "The Divide". 8. 1:13 - Strong sung F2s from unreleased "Cornerstone Player", really impressive notes by a tenor voice! 9. 1:28 - Purposely low-spoken 'redneck' speaking from the hilarious music video of "Low" by Foo Fighters, black gets couple of easy F2s here. 10. 1:36 - E2 from the ending of "Explosivo". 11. 1:41 - Short E2 from "Tribute". 12. 1:54 - Much better E2 from the later part of the demo version of "Tribute", Black does this note in a pig squeal-like voice in the studio version! 13. 2:00 - Quick E2 from the live play "Prop 8: The Musical". 14. 2 ...

Anette is the current lead singer of Nightwish. She uses chest voice in most of the time, but she also uses her head voice in some songs like "Ghost Love Score". *UPDATE* (HD) Leona Lewis Vocal Range Live - 2010/2011/Hurt: The EP Era: C3-Eb6

Leona has been bust around the world over the past 15 months or so! From England to Italy to Malaysia, Leona has done gigs and events performing a variety of songs. Hope you like it, a lot of people have wanted me to do this! Here is something to bridge the gap until Glassheart is released. March 2012 update: Leona did a gig in Hong Kong, where she performed Collide, Glassheart, Sweet Dreams (Are Made of These), I Got U, Better in Time, Bleeding Love and Outta My Head. During the A5 falsetto run in Outta My Head, Leona ascended to an Eb6 near the end of it, and I decided to update the video to include it. As soon as the second single from Glassheart is released, I will stop updating this era.

The Vocal Range of Sebastian Bach: D2-A5(-A6)

Sebastian Bach's incredibly powerful voice needs to be heard. His high note style is generally really raspy, but it only adds to the songs he is singing. Bach has a fantastic technical ability of altering his voice between really clean and raspy singing, and his high note skills are top-notch. Bach is a tenor with surprisingly strong lows found during his later career. His high note technique sometimes borders on non-modal screaming, but he can put a surprisingly big amount of chest into his notes too. Bach's high note singing is generally remarkable, as he can sing melody even in the upper 5th octave without sounding bad. 1. 0:00 - A solid, sung B2s from "How Long Can I Resist". 2. 0:18 - A sung B2s from "This Is Gonna Hurt". 3. 0:28 - Surprisingly strong B♭2s from "Dream Forever". 4. 0:49 - B♭2s from the cover of "C'mon and Love Me", originally by KISS. 5. 0:59 - A short B♭2s from "Superjerk, Superstar, Supertears". 6. 1:16 - C3s and one short A2 from "My Enemy". 7. 1:26 - Sung C3s and a spoken A2 from "Just One More". 8. 1:39 - AG♯2 from "I Killed You". 9. 1:43 - Couple of short A2s and G♯2s from "In an Empty Room", also with one G2. 10. 2:06 - Whispery but solid and sung G2s from "Play in the Clouds". 11. 2:27 - Somewhat fryish G2 from "Push the Button". 12. 2:32 - A really weak G2 from "Fan Mail". 13. 2:43 - Two solid G2s from "Who Made You Do It (Version 2)". 14. 2:52 - A short F♯2 from "What Kind of Animal". 15. 3:00 - Awkward spoken passage from "Spider Love ...

The Vocal Range of Roger Daltrey: C2-F♯5(-C6)

Roger Daltrey's raw, energetic and powerful voice, combined with Pete Townsend's stellar songwriting and the band's fantastic playing, resulted in the classic 'The Who-sound'. He also showcased lots of wonderful vocal performances during his solo career, also making a lot of great guest appearances. Even after all these years, his voice is still strong and rich, just like during The Who's prime years. Daltrey is a high baritone with a wonderful control over his upper register. During the earlier days of The Who, his voice bordered on a very light high baritone/baritenor voice, but it lowered to a regular high baritone voice pretty fast. 1. 0:00 - Few B2s from "Bitter & Twisted". 2. 0:16 - Two B2s from "Mirror Mirror". 3. 0:37 - AB♭2 from "I Can See for Miles". 4. 0:43 - An A2 from "It's Hard". 5. 0:48 - A bit funnier clip called "Wheels on the Bus" where Roger sings down to solid G2s. 6. 0:57 - A low passage from "Times Changed", which bottoms around F♯2 in full voice. 7. 1:09 - A very pleasant surprise: strong A2s and few F♯2s from "The Good's Gone", featured in The Who's debut album. 8. 1:31 - AF♯2 from "Don't Wait on the Stairs". 9. 1:9 - E2s from "Who's Gonna Walk on Water". 10. 1:54 - A lower passage from "Mirror Door", which bottoms around E2. 11. 2:21 - Did you think you could get rid of these clips? Yes, you did. Two strong E♭2s from "High, Low, Fast, Slow". 12. 2:34 - A forced E2 and few D2s hit during Daltrey's live tribute performance to Johnny Cash. 13. 3 ...

Whitney Houston Live Vocal Range - I'm Your Baby Tonight Era (1990/1991): E3 - C6

This was the pick of her voice. With unmatched mid belts and head voice; powerful, ease and stunning upper belts, sense of lyricism negotiated with smart vocal dynamics, unrivalled vocal beauty, big and penatrating tone, nice improvisations and interpretation; creative, agile and coherent melismas turns this Assoluta into one of the greatest singers in the world. The Voice is going to show us now that sing, is much more than only produce decent and trained vocals and mastering great techniques. She will show us that if you don't take this accomplishments and handle them according to lyric purposes, and if you can't use them to surround the listener and take him to a spiritual place, then you're still good, but nothing more than an trained singer and great vocalist. Now there's a landing in the art of singing which requires sense of lyricism and rhythm to hit the objective of its art. Let's say that the only singers since the 80's which reached this feature was Whitney, Mariah, Lara Fabian, Lisa Fischer and few other singers. If your favorite wasn't included on my list, it's only because I just didn't mentioned him, but he's included on the 'few other' singers. I can't indicate all of them cause i'm tired right now, and I need to go to sleep. Here's the notes she reached i this era: Lower Register: E3 - F3 - F#3 - G3 - G#3; Mid/Upper Belt Register: Bb4 - B4 - C5 - C#5 - D5 - Eb5 - E5 - F5 - F#5 - G5 - G#5; Head Voice Register: F5 - F#5 - G5 - G#5 - A5 - Bb5 - B5 - C6 ...

Preggo Vocals - Beyoncé 2011 Live Vocal Range (C#3 - C6)

Please read description. Here's my new video. It took me WEEKS to complete this. It was meant to be (and I hope it is lol) a live vocal range + belts collection + dynamics/control video. Movie Maker has been acting up the whole time, I finished the video just because I strongly wanted to. You'll notice some issues with the audio and also the video quality is far from excellent. I'm sorry for that. Back to the content of the video: this is a LIVE vocal range video, do I need to say more? You will only find LIVE vocals on this. Although she admitted when you're pregnant it gets harder to breath, Beyoncé delivered great vocals throughout her first five months of pregnancy (then she just stopped performing). Youtube is full of Beyoncé vocal range videos, and this video discovers nothing new about her range, so I focused on the many things she can do within her range, the ways she can use her voice, hit the notes, and the dynamics she's capable of, all of this while showing footage from a lot of different performances and concerts. There's already two videos for her Glastonbury and A Night With Beyoncé sets, so I tried not to include too many notes from those two concerts. If you think a note or definition is wrong, if you don't agree on something, please tell me without being rude and we'll discuss it. For instance, in the very last section of the video I used the word "chest" for some of the notes she transitioned to, but I know it's never 100% chest. Enjoy (if you can make ...

The Vocal Range of Ted Neeley: (A1-)B♭1-E5(-B5)

Mainly known for his career as a an actor and a singer, Ted Neeley remains one of the most popular actors featured in Jesus Christ Superstar by Andrew Lloyd Webber. Neeley's portrayal of Jesus has generally received a lot of praise and acclaim from his fans and critics, especially for the power and the emotional intensity displayed. One of Neeley's strenghts lies in his upper register. He is naturally a regular high baritone, but he has an extremely powerful falsetto (which is very similar to Ian Gillan's falsetto). Neeley's register switching, power and falsetto control are unmatched up there, and often his switches are very subtle, giving the impression of very high full notes. Neeley's full voice high notes, though not as powerful as his falsetto, are surprisingly good too, not to mention his strong low register. 1. 0:00 - A dark B2 from "You Are the Singer". 2. 0:07 - The classic sung B♭2 from "The Last Supper". 3. 0:14 - A quick B♭2 from the rare "Find Yourself". 4. 0:20 - A strong B♭2 and an A2 from the very Gethsemane-like song, "Blood on Your Hands". 5. 0:41 - An emotional lower passage from "Poor Jerusalem" with a strong G♯2. 6. 0:57 - A shorter G2 from "Gethsemane (I Only Want to Say)" live in Toronto in '93. (Probably Neeley's best live performance of all time) 7. 1:04 - A strong sung F♯2 from "The Meeting". 8. 1:10 - A F2 from (August) '93-performance of "Poor Jerusalem", Neeley sings this song much lower live. 9. 1:15 - Two strong F2s from the recent ...

The Vocal Range of Michael Jackson: (F2-)F♯2-G♯5(-F6)

Armed with incredible singing, dancing and performing skills, the late Michael Jackson definitely deserved the title 'The King of Pop'. His different vocal styles, combined with the classic falsetto yelps made him one of the most recognizable singers in the history of pop and rock music. Jackson was a high tenor during his long career. He had an ability of preserving the naturnal beauty of his timbre while going really high, thanks to his easy high notes. Jackson didn't just use a really clean and bright style, but also a raw and chesty style, which he used while belting in the lower 5th octave. Thanks to LoveGreatVocals for helping me find few great notes! 1. 0:00 - Fleeting C3s from "Blood on the Dancefloor". 2. 0:15 - Short C3 from "Break of Dawn". 3. 0:19 - Calm C3s from "Someone Put Your Hand Out". 4. 0:28 - Solid B2 from "Monkey Business". 5. 0:32 - Quick B♭2s from "Space Dance". 6. 0:46 - Strong B2s and A2s from the improvised live a-cappella performance of "Who Is It". 7. 1:09 - Streak of C3s and A2s from "Money". 8. 1:38 - Spoken notes from "Dangerous" bottoming around G♯2. 9. 2:07 - Jackson warming up his voice in 1994, he slides down to a strong A2, G♯2 and G2, and then down to a surprisingly strong but notably quieter F♯2. He also gets a vocal fry F2 (not full) afterwards. 10. 2:35 - Time for high notes: quick tenor high C (C5) and powerful sustained B♭4s from "You Are Not Alone". 11. 2:52 - Fantastic C5s from "The Lady in My Life". 12. 3:19 - Almost ...

The Vocal Range of Ville Valo: (B0-)F1-F5(-B♭6)

Ville Valo could be called one of the best low singers in rock music. His distinctive and versatile low baritone (aka. bass) voice is really deep and booming, and he has some of the strongest lows I've ever heard in rock music. Valo's high note technique has also improved a lot and his highs are pretty impressive too with him spanning A LOT of range in many performances. 1. 0:00 - Fantastic singing bottoming around short G2s from the legendary "Summer Wine". 2. 0:12 - Two strong G2s from "Love You Like I Do". 3. 0:27 - Strong F2 from Apocalyptica's "Bittersweet" (Lauri Ylönen is the higher voice). 4. 0:35 - Really good choir harmonies from "In Venere Veritas" with solid F2s. 5. 0:42 - Solid E2s from the backing vocals of Cradle of Filth's "Byronic Man". 6. 0:59 - Really good E2s from the intro of "Gone with the Sin". 7. 1:29 - Really strong E2s from the re-recorded version of "It's All Tears (Drown in This Love)". 8. 1:56 - The original version of "It's All Tears (Drown in This Love)" with some of the best lows I've ever heard around that area: EXTREMELY strong and bassy lows bottoming at E♭2s, monstrous! 9. 2:25 - Spoken passage from "Dark Sekret Love" bottoming around D2. 10. 3:10 - Strong sustained C2 from the live version of "Killing Loneliness". 11. 3:23 - Fantastic low passage from "Venus Doom" trailing down to B1. 12. 3:50 - Quick B♭1 from the live version of "The Kiss of Dawn" from the live album Digital Versatile Doom, Valo spans F1-E5(!) during the concert! 13 ...

An eclectic and often overlooked musician. Ms. Rachelle Ferrell has been said by some to be today's modern day Ella Fitzgerald. The ease has she switches and moves in between musical passages is unparalled. Ms. Ferrell is a vocal monster ! Lowest Note: G2 Highest Belt: C#6 Highest Note: Eb7

The Vocal Range of Tarja Turunen: C♯3-G5(-B6)

As lead singer of Nightwish, Tarja achieved worldwide success and acclaim, especially in her native Finland. A classically-trained soprano with experience in lied and ballets, she was one of the first and by far the most famous to spearhead the movement of mixing opera with metal and has influenced a whole slew of female vocalists to do the same. Though her voice is quite high, it is also very dark, and she has never shed her thick accent while singing. This is my first female video, and with the operatic technique the process of deciphering registers is that much trickier. So bare with me. 0:00 Beautiful singing down to a sustained G3 in "Away" 0:22 A quick but strong F3 in "Swanheart" 0:30 Sung F3s in "A Return to the Sea" 0:44 Creepy spoken E3s in "Nymphomaniac Fantasia" (my favorite song title) 0:59 A strange section of "Ciaran's Well" with faint E3s 1:12 Lines ending in E and D3s from the intro of "Elvenpath" 1:31 Quick C♯3 from "The Kinslayer" 1:36 Oddly hypnotizing spoken word section bottoming at C♯3 from "Nightwish" 2:10 And one more spoken section, from "Dead Gardens" with lots of D and C♯3s. Tarja is almost unrecognizable here. 2:35 On to highs: smooth singing up to C♯5 with an E♭5 at the end from "End of All Hope" 3:00 Verses of "Sacrament of Wilderness" sung operatically around E♭5 3:27 Easy E♭5s from the live version of "Bless the Child" 3:57 A fantastic, belted E5 from "Nymphomaniac Fantasia" 4:13 Strong singing up to E5 in "Slaying the Dreamer" live ...

Annie Lennox Studio Vocal Range (F#2-C#6)

The vocal range of the incredible Annie Lennox whose voice has lasted nearly 40 years and is still going strong. Lead vocalist of the incredibly popular group Eurythmics who also has quite the successful solo career under her belt. Annie Lennox is one of the best selling artists of all time, selling over 80 million albums world wide. Annie posses an amazing contralto voice that is able to go from top to bottom of her range in one breath (see 2nd Chorus of "There Must Be An Angel" where she performs a run of G5's in head voice then scales down to a C3). Definitely one of the best contraltos in modern music and one of the best singers overall :) Also known as one of the greatest blue-eyed soul singers. Annie Lennox's vocal range during her time with the Eurythmics (C3-C#6) Annie Lennox's vocal range during her solo career (G2-C6) In my opinion Annie can clearly go higher and lower than what is shown in this video, I'd predict at least 4 octaves. Special thanks to primohomme and kellyclarksonismygd/kellyclarksonismygod. Vocal Range (during Eurythmics) C3-C#6 Vocal Range (Solo) G2-C6

Jessie J is one of Britain BEST new artists, the singer'songwriter gained quick success with her debut album Who You Are in 2010, and has gone on to have have worldwide success like Adele :) She is a superb singer & can replicate &improve vocals LIVE! Posseses a good lower register and belting register. And her technique has improved dramatically since she first emerged and now her upper belts at times are immence. I personally WISH she would use her headvoice more, but she has plenty of time for that. Enjoy
