This is a film I made after some adventures underground with Steve Duncan (undercity.org) last summer. We also have a teaser video which you can watch on my vimeo page (vimeo.com/​5752275). Steve and I just completed another underground expedition with Norwegian explorer Erling Kagge (en.wikipedia.org/​wiki/​Erling_Kagge). It was featured in a three page article on the front page of the NY Times metro section and was written by Alan Feuer (nytimes.com/​2011/​01/​02/​nyregion/​02underground.html). We were also covered by NPR's Jacki Lyden who's report will be aired on 1/2/11 and posted on NPR's site. Shot on a canon 5d mkii with canon 24 f/1.4 (version 1) with the zacuto rapid fire, Zoom H4N and a sennheiser g2 wireless lav. Pictures from a trip inside the remains of the old Michigan Central Station train depot. Opened in 1913, the building is of the Beaux-Arts Classical style of architecture, designed by the Warren & Wetmore and Reed and Stem firms who also designed New York City's Grand Central Terminal. The price tag for this 500000-square-foot (46000 m2) building was $15 million when it was built. The building is composed of two distinct parts: the train station itself and the tower which rises 18 stories. The roof height is 230 feet (70 m). Speculation as to what the tower was originally designed for include a hotel, offices for the rail company, or a combination of both. In reality, the tower was only used for office space by the Michigan Central Railroad and subsequent owners of the building. The interiors of at least the top floor had never been completed and served no function. The main waiting room on the main floor was modeled after an ancient Roman bathhouse with walls of marble. The building also housed a large hall adorned with Doric columns and contained the ticket office and arcade shops. Beyond the arcade was the concourse, which had brick walls and a large copper skylight. From here, passengers would walk down a ramp to the departing train platforms, 11 tracks in all. Below the tracks and building is a large area for baggage, mail, and other office building functions. The building has since been stripped of most valuable items including brass fixtures. The 200 employees were laid off in 2004, when Nestle decided that the factory was uneconomic. Well what an interesting day this was. We finally got released from the Police station after 8 hours of hell. I got caught exploring some Animal testing labs/Neuroscience research facility with Skeleton Key We was down in the underground kennels when we started hearing police with dogs. luckily I decided to start my camera rolling and captured everything on film. Refusing to turn it off and instead setting up a better angle I explained to them I was filming it for my own protection/evidence They told us we was being arrested under suspicion of theft then it quickly switched to domestic terrorism (Animal rights activists) Both our houses were searched Computers, hard drives etc were bagged and tagged. They even refused my right to make a phone call which I was not happy about! Steven Duncan explores the vast underground drainage system -pipes big enough to drive a truck through under Kissena Park in Queens, New York and documents an underground spring. He does a survey of other ventures up the WIlliamsburg Bridge, through Moscow's underground rivers, into a Titan I Missile Silo and up on an abandoned LIRR line in Queens residents' backyards. The video highlights selected photos from his book to be published next year.

This building has been used for different things in the past, most recently developing and producing parts for cars before it was abandoned. I hear it was once Canada's tallest building, opening sometime the late 1910's. Parts of the ground level still had a wooden flooring. It is also disputed to have had Canada's first elevator for people. It stands 10 stories tall and had a very nice view of Toronto from its rooftop.

Spooky and old, this place has been used in movies from time to time I heard. Now it's overrun with birds and filled with bird crap 2 feet deep everywhere. A winter exploration some time ago. The prison was quite large, but we explored most of it, ... it was once the area's only maximum security prison. Graffiti from prisoners covered some of the cell walls, although my camera couldn't pick up most of its detail. To think that the place was once filled with all sorts of criminals... This video contains footage of the prison cells, and other places of interest such as the chapel, dentist, kitchen, and other employee areas, etc within the prison. Arizona, Goodyear Auxiliary Army Airfield #6 was built in 1943 as one of a large number of satellite airfields for the United States Air Force, which was the largest single-engine advanced training base in the world during World War Two. According to a 1992 Army Corps of Engineers Report, the Goodyear Auxiliary #6 property consisted of a total of 1159 acres. According to the "History of Luke AFB" (obtained by David Brooks from the public affairs office at Luke AFB), Goodyear Field (#6) had three 4000' x 300' runways, and the construction costs for its airdrome was $263000. Among Luke's auxiliary airfields, "Fighter & Goodyear Fields boasted the most facilities, each having separate buildings for crew chiefs, operations, supply, barracks, pit latrine, crash truck shed, generator shed and a control tower." The earliest depiction the Goodyear auxiliary airfield which has been located was on the March 1945 Phoenix Sectional Chart (courtesy of Chris Kennedy). A 1949 aerial photo (courtesy of John Arthur) depicted the Goodyear Aux #6 airfield in its original configuration, with 3 runways & a parking ramp on the southeast side. Several small buildings were just east of the parking ramp. The site was declared excess & deeded to the State of Arizona in 1949, but was then reestablished & expanded by the Air Force later that same year. Urban Exploration...Long Abandoned Stone Quarry. These video clips and still photographs were taken on April 27, 2011. Remember to never trespass when exploring old structures. I had permission to enter this building and the area. In this presentation you will see a considerable amount of old equipment including a very large diesel generator...an International bull dozer and lots of various junk just laying about. I found this location most interesting. I am uncertain how long that it has been in a state of non-use but the quarry truck that used to sit near the structure was a 1952 GMC I think. There was very little left of it. Under the hood was an old inline six cylinder engine. The old scales...that are falling in now...could never have accommodated a modern triaxle because there was only eleven or twelve foot of clearance when a vehicle was positioned on the scale. I hope that you enjoyed a look at this old stone quarry.
