Ike & Tina Turner - Honky Tonk Woman 1970 Original by The Rolling Stones (1969) I met a gin soaked, bar-room man in memphis, He tried to take me upstairs for a ride. He had to heave me right across his shoulder but I just cant seem to drink him off my mind. Its a honk, its a honk, a honky tonk woman Gimme, gimme, gimme a honky tonk man, uh yeah yeah. I laid a divorcee in new york city, but I had to put myself out of the piper's ... The lady the man covered me with roses, yeah yes indeed, She blew my nose and then he blew my mind. I'm a honky tonk woman Gimme, gimme, gimme the honky tonk man. (Instrumental) Listen I'm a honky tonk woman Gimme, gimme, gimme the honky tonk man, uh yeah yeah. I'm a honk, I'm a honk, a honky tonk woman I want, I want, yeah I want a honky tonk man, yeah.
