Marc Elliot just graduated from Washington University and has a complex form of Tourette's syndrome. He makes sounds and says words that he cannot control. Now 23, he is now inspiring audiences across the country by sharing his life story in order to convey the value of tolerance and the basic mental attitudes and behaviors that allow it to flourish. This documentary attempts to give the audience an inside look at how people react to others who are different and Marc's day to day life. In addition, Marc details the progression of his Tourette's with personal anecdotes.

A clear, concise version of 'Tics and Compulsions: The big difference' with extra information about tics and compulsions. Many people think that tics and compulsions are on different ends on the same spectrum. Although they are connected in some ways and people with either Tourette syndrome or obsessive compulsive disorder will often have traits of the other, tics and compulsions are different in that they are responses to different things. PLEASE NOTE: I begin by explaining my previous theory and then explain my revised theory and end with some more insights into tics and compulsions. Please note that this video is based on personal theory and not medical or scientific fact. None of my videos are for sympathy, just for education. This is not a comedy. Gilles de la Tourette syndrome (Tourette Syndrome or TS) is a neurological disorder which becomes evident in early childhood or adolescence between the ages of 2 and 15. Tourette syndrome is defined by multiple motor and vocal tics lasting for more than one year. Many people have only motor tics or only vocal tics. The first symptoms usually are involuntary movements (tics) of the face, arms, limbs or trunk. These tics are frequent, repetitive and rapid. The most common first symptom is a facial tic (eye blink, nose twitch, grimace), and is replaced or added to by other tics of the neck, trunk, and limbs. These involuntary (outside the patient's control) tics may also be complicated, involving the entire body, such as kicking and stamping. Many persons report what are described as premonitory urges -- the urge to perform a motor activity. Other symptoms such as touching, repetitive thoughts and movements and compulsions can occur. There are also verbal tics. These verbal tics (vocalizations) usually occur with the movements; later they may replace one or more motor tics. These vocalizations include grunting, throat clearing, shouting and barking. The verbal tics may also be expressed as coprolalia (the involuntary use of obscene words or socially inappropriate words and phrases) or copropraxia (obscene gestures). Despite widespread publicity, coprolalia/copropraxia is uncommon with tic disorders. Neither echolalia (echo speech) or coprolalia/copropraxia is necessary for <b>...</b>

Afghanistan TIC Overshot 155mm
I just got my new camera and have loads of combat footage and pictures. On this video you get to see 120mm mortars hitting enemy positions. The big boom, that makes me shake (and the huge mushroom cloud I pan over to) is a 155mm Artillery round that overshot it's target by nearly 500m. You also will see Afghan children surrounding our vehicle in an attempt to collect expended brass cartridges to exchange at their local bazaar.
