Tibetan soldier sets record, Climbs 8th highest peak without oxygen(Part1)

Indian army after having scaled of Mt. Everest in 2001 took the challenging task of summiting all open Eight Thousanders in India, Tibet and Nepal. The peaks, which were yet to be scaled, were Manaslu, Ishapangma and Mamakalu. Manaslu being more daunting and challenging amongst these peaks and since no Indian had ever scaled it so far was the preferred choice. Manaslu (8163 meters),"Mountain of the Spirit", also known as Kutang is the eight highest mountain peaks in the world which is located in the west-central part of Nepal. Manaslu is long ridges and valley glaciers culminate in a peak that towers steeply above its surrounding landscape. There had fifteen members who were selected for Mt. Manaslu Expedition and in this 15 member Mr.NK Kunchok Tenpa of 7vikas is one of them who are an Everester. He has also summited Momotsang Kangri, Junction Peak, Shivling, Deoban. He has been instructor at SBS and was third in the famous Everest Marathon. He made a record in Mt Manaslu Expedition by climbs the peak without using oxygen. He said that he pray to god for his selection and it was his dream to raised Indian nation and army's flag in Mt Manaslu without using oxygen which became true after the mission complete. Their journey started on 24 March, 2011 from New Delhi to move Kathmandu by air and after that they had purchased some technical equipment and personal gear. Tibetan Sky Burial

In the high mountains of Tibet, where trees don't grow, natural resources scarce, and the land is harsh, Tibetan Buddhists do not bury their dead, nor waste precious resources cremating the body. From dust to dust, flesh to flesh, nothing is wasted. Human body flesh makes precious food for the vultures. Tibetan Buddhists feed their dead to the vultures. This is good karma.

Tibetan Refugee Part One

DVD is available at tibetdoc.com Recent refugees who escaped Chinese torture in Tibet and arrived in Dharamsala, India to an uncertain future. In light of the recent events in Tibet I've decided to post the entire documentary I shot in India about Tibetan refugees who had just escaped from Chinese torture in Tibet. It's available at Netflix, and other online areas, but it's more important that the words of these eyewitnesses is put into the public airspace. Tibetans have been tortured, beaten and jailed since the Chinese invaded their country, I have footage of a doctor who left because he could no longer sterilize Tibetan woman in good conscience. Most of these interviews are children or monks - their stories are heartbreaking. If you want to see Tibet, check out my doc Journey Into Tibet.com where I take a trip with Robert Thurman across Tibet. I also feature HH The Dalai Lama, Robert Thurman, Grammy winner Yungchen Llamo, the Nechung Monks, the State oracle of Tibet, the 17th Karmapa and others. I couldn't put the entire hour long movie at one time, but it's in 5 edited clips of ten minutes each on youtube, and the other clips will soon appear. Long live the great Tibetan culture and people, and please pray for Tibet.

New video Chinese police's brutal repression on Tibetans in 2008

Chinese police hunting down Tibetans like rabbits in the borrows without producing any arrest warrant violates basic human rights. In the first place, 2008 event was not at all a riot, but revolution of Tibetans against the China's illegal occupation of Tibet for more than fifty years. Tibet was not and will never be a part of China. Tibet was a fully functional nation before China's occupation in 1959. She had her centralized Govt. in Lhasa, national currency, postal system, issued passport to her citizens and more importantly laid treaty with neighboring countries. All these and more proves that Tibet was an occupied nation. For more, visit www.rangzen.net. Video courtesy- 'Tibetan Govt. in Exile.

Tibetan Protestors Call for International Intervention

For more news and videos visit ☛ english.ntdtv.com Follow us on Twitter ☛ http Add us on Facebook ☛ me.lt As the G20 summit kicks off in Cannes, France, Tibetan protestors in northern India are urging world leaders to help stop oppression by communist authorities in their homeland. They say the only way to end decades of CCP rule in Tibet is for world leaders to speak up against the Chinese regime. Tibetan protestors paraded on the streets of Dharamsala in northern India Wednesday over China's repressive tactics in Tibet, seeking international intervention to save Tibetan lives. The protest comes as world leaders meet in France for the G20 summit. The people here say international intervention is the only solution that will relieve them from the oppression of the Chinese Communist Party. [Tenzing Dorjay, Protester]: "We aim to send a message to the global leaders that we need global intervention in Tibet in order to save Tibetan lives, in order to stop the Chinese government's repression in Tibet, which is exacerbating the situation, causing further loss of Tibetan lives and the only thing that will work, in order to stop this humanitarian crisis in Tibet, is global intervention." The protesters say they want G20 leaders to raise the issues of human rights violations and a crackdown on monasteries by Chinese police. China has ruled Tibet since 1950. Tenzin Wangmo, around 20 years of age, set herself on fire at around 1 pm local time in the Ngaba region of eastern Tibet today. The exile base of Kirti Monastery, citing eyewitnesses, in a release today said that Tenzin Wangmo self immolated on a crossroad near her monastery, the Mamae Dechen Choekhorling Nunnery, about 3 kms away from Ngaba County. Tenzin Wangmo died immediately. According to the release, nuns from the Mamae nunnery carried Tenzin Wangmo's body to the nunnery and despite repeated warnings from Chinese security personnel, refuse to give possession of the deceased's body. "The Chinese authorities have given the nuns an ultimatum to either hand over the deceased's body or bury Tenzin Wangmo's body by tonight," the release said. Lhakar: Tibetan Grassroots Movement

We are happy to announce the launch of this 3-min video inspired by Lhakar, a homegrown Tibetan campaign that is mobilizing thousands of Tibetans around the idea of protecting our identity by practicing it. Through small daily and weekly acts of resistance such as buying from Tibetan shops, speaking in Tibetan, visiting the temple on Wednesdays, eating tsampa, wearing chuba, and assisting the families of political prisoners, Tibetans are strengthening their culture, society and local economies in subtle yet sustainable ways. This video is an attempt at compiling just a few of the nonviolent tactics that Tibetans living under Chinese rule are using to defend their culture while expanding their social and political spheres of influence. Tibetan Monks in Washington DC in fear of commies from China

During my recent visit to Washington, DC this past July, also in town was the Tibetan 14th Dalai Lama Tenzin Gyatso (Jetsun Jamphel Ngawang Lobsang Yeshe Tenzin Gyatso -- 1989 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate). Resulting in His Holiness's visit to Washington, DC were legions of robed Tibetan monks throughout the city. The Sunday I was there, my Japanese good and trusted friend "Inglewoodgridah" (his YouTube name) spent the day walking the National Mall. That is where the Lincoln Memorial, the World War Two Memorial, the Washington Monument, the Capitol Building, and the Korean War Memorial are located. We were approaching the Korean War Memorial when we observed a group of Tibetan Monks sitting on a park bench with a Caucasian with another monk in front taking photographs. I walked up and offer to take group photo. The monk with the camera spoke with me in good English. I took a few pictures, then asked where they were from (I did not want to assume anything). I was told Tibet. I then asked if what we hear in the USA about Chinese authorities suppressing their culture, religion, and language. The one monk looked at my Japanese friend then said to me, "Sorry we do not speak English," then got up and left. They probably thought my Japanese friend to be a commie Chinese agent. How pathetic is that? They were about 13000 miles from Commie-land and yet still had the fear of those commie gangsters. I said to my Japanese friend, "You being from Japan, and me an American we can go ...

Tibetan girl bags gold for China at the 2011 world wrestling championship

DHARAMSHALA, September 21: A 23 year-old Tibetan girl has won gold for China in the Women's Freestyle Wrestling 67 kg class at the World Wrestling Championship in Istanbul, Turkey. Shelok Dolma, (Spelt as Luozhuoma XI), Tibetan girl defeated her Mongolian opponent Oyunsuren Banzragch in the final bout on 16 September, becoming the first Tibetan ever to achieve the feat. More than 900 wrestlers from 104 countries competed at the World Wrestling Championship in Turkey from 12 September to 18 September to qualify for the London 2012 Olympics. Shelok said it was a surprise for her that she won gold at her international debut, barely six months after she won silver at the national wrestling championship in April this year. Born to a humble family in the Tibetan region of Nyingtri in Kongpo, Shelok Dolma was selected into the Chinese national wrestling team in 2010. "This is first time in history that a Tibetan girl bagged the international wrestling gold medal, and it is a moment of pride for all of us," said Dorje, Dolma's coach. Sources also state that Tibetan athletes participating in domestic and international sports competitions have won 220 medals in total and currently there are 12 Tibetans representing China in various international games.

The Tibetan Book of the Dead

The Tibetan Book of the Dead, whose actual title is "The Great Liberation upon Hearing in the Intermediate State" or "Bardo Thodol", is traditionally believed to be the work of the legendary Padma Sambhava in the 8th century AD The book acts as a guide for the dead during the state that intervenes death and the next rebirth. He is considered to be one of the first persons to bring Buddhism to Tibet. The Bardo Thodol is a guide that is read aloud to the dead while they are in the state between death and reincarnation in order for them to recognize the nature of their mind and attain liberation from the cycle of rebirth. The Bardo Thodol teaches that once awareness is freed from the body, it creates its own reality as one would experience in a dream. This dream occurs in various phases (bardos) in ways both wonderful and terrifying. Overwhelming peaceful and wrathful visions and deities appear. Since the deceased's awareness is in confusion of no longer being connected to a physical body, it needs help and guidance in order that enlightenment and liberation occurs. The Bardo Thodol teaches how we can attain Nirvana by recognizing the heavenly realms instead of entering into the lower realms where the cycle of birth and rebirth continue. The following is a description of the bardo realms that one travels through after death. The First Bardo The first bardo comes at the very moment of death, when there dawns the Clear Light of the Ultimate Reality. This is the very content ...

Tibetan Monks Sentenced in Self Immolation Case

For more news and videos visit ☛ ‪english.ntdtv.com Follow us on Twitter ☛ ‪http Add us on Facebook ☛ ‪facebook.com A court in Sichuan province sentenced three Tibetan monks to long jail terms for involvement in a self-immolation protest of a fellow monk. On March 16, a 16-year-old monk from the Kirti monastery, Rigzin Phuntsog lit himself on fire, allegedly to protest Chinese security forces' brutal treatment of Tibetan monks. On Monday, Tibetan monk Lobsang Tsundue (or Drongdru in Chinese) was sentenced to 11 years in jail—accused of "intentional homicide". On Tuesday, Tenchum was sentenced to 10 and Tsering Tenzin to 13 years in jail—both were accused of "plotting, instigating and assisting" the self-immolation of a fellow monk. But according to Tibetan news website Phayul.com, eyewitness to the immolation saw Chinese security forces beating the monk to death, immediately after dousing the flames. One of the convicted monks, Lobsang Tsundue was seen trying to save Phuntsog from police brutality, Phayul reports. The sentences have caused international concern over lack of transparency in the court's ruling.
