Wire-removal and colour matching / grading. Using Apple Shake, Foundry Furnace, and Apple Color. I was asked to come in and help 'fix' the footage. I wish I had been there as CGI/SFX supervisor on filming then a number of shots would have been more 'perfect'. Also this was shot on miniDV, using two separate cameras on two separate days by two separate people. Not my ideal working scenario, but a challenge still :D Film produced and directed by John Perkin.

My first attempt at a Zoom in to a place (Birmingham Christian Centre) using Adobe After Effects. The music is taken from Doctor Who where a similar effect takes place at the beginning of Series 1 and the Run-away Bride. This took about 2 hours to complete.

An excerpt from Birmingham Christian Center's recent Christmas production, a version of High School Musical. It was great fun to be involved in the planning of the stage and production side of the event. Lighting designer: Peter Nicholls (myself) Lighting programmer: Peter Fernando The cameras and vision mixing was done in house by volunteers. Directed by myself. Recorded live in a very stressful environment without any rehearsals due to time and budget!

Remembrance Sunday; a day to remember those who have died for the protection of our liberty and those who have died in and because of war. This tribute contains real historical footage, photographs and archive audio from the First and Second World Wars, elements of which some may find disturbing. The stirring speech made by Churchill (We will fight them on the beaches...) leads us in to 2 minutes of silent reflection for all those who have died in war over the last 150 years, culminating in the last post and final tribute. Due to high demand, I have now made this video available for download in high quality and high definition ( HD ). For download options, please visit: www.peternicholls.co.uk Music is edited and arranged from various movements of Elgar's Enigma Variations.

** BUY NOW! ** Only £8.99! Go to: www.peternicholls.co.uk A short motion graphic video set to music, an introduction to a carol service. The purpose was to introduce the service and give a very quick message about what the carols service was about - the birth of Jesus. The starting point was an edit of Hillsong Music's 'Glory to God', from their first Christmas album, and a simple picture of the nativity scene. This was then layered in to Apple's Motion 3D and animated together with scripture text. From start to completion this project took around 9 hours to complete. Scriptures referenced Isaiah 9 - For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. John 3:16 - For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life
