Tornadoes On the Ground In Dallas Texas,Tornadoes ripped through the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas area Tuesday afternoon, launching tractor-trailers into the air as if they were children's toys. As a tornado spun through an industrial area in Lancaster, Texas, about 15 miles south of Dallas, it wreaked havoc on a fleet of trucks, perilously tossing them dozens of feet in the air. Severe storms brought golf-ball-sized hail and led to the touchdown of at least two tornadoes in the region. The skies darkened to a night-like level as the storms rushed in. A number of injuries were reported and homes damaged in the heavily-populated suburbs south of Dallas and Fort Worth.

3 Tigers rescued from Wild Animal Orphanage (WAO), a San Antonio, Texas sanctuary that went bankrupt in 2010. In 2003, Wild Animal Orphanage (WAO) took in 24 tigers that had been living at a New Jersey facility that was shut down by the state. After declaring bankruptcy in 2010, WAO contacted the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries and other organizations for help in placing these tigers and the rest of their big cats at other sanctuaries. WAO struggled for over a year to find permanent homes for all of their cats because it is hard to place a big cat who will cost $10000 per year in food and vet care. Amazingly, an anonymous donor couple who had known these tigers as cubs fortuitously stepped in to fund the ongoing care of three lucky tigers who are coming to Big Cat Rescue. Ahem..) --------------- "Dozens of Laredo residents woke up to see a bright light in the sky that some say they just cannot explain. Many people are now saying what they saw was a UFO in the sky over south Laredo before four this morning. But not everyone believes it. Annette Garcia has more. Caught on camera. This video shot a Pro 8 News viewer allegedly shows a light some say is coming from a UFO. The light that seems like an ordinary star shone brightly over Laredo around four Tuesday morning. Its the second night in a row its been spotted. Witnesses took to the Pro 8 News facebook page posting details of what they saw. One person said the light seemed to stay in one spot. Another said he and his wife saw it between two and four am It was a bright white light and turned to two, then back to one. Witnesses say it was flying around the south Laredo area, then flew back up to central Laredo towards loop twenty and then back around and down highway 83 before it disappeared. Flying too low to be a commercial plane but was completely silent. Residents in the Chacon creek area say the see helicopters daily and this was no helicopter.
