Buy/Stream: www.tlavideo.com Class, cultural and sexual differences are explored in this torridly romantic drama co-starring an Italian superstar from the past: Claudia Cardinale. Set in arid Tunisia, tall, quiet Malik (Antonin Stahly), a 30-year-old Parisian architect, returns to his homeland after the death of his father. He's greeted warmly by his over-bearing, petulant mother (Cardinale) and is immediately confronted with her expectation that he stay and get married. This now strange world of his youth, his mother's pressure and his barely hidden homosexuality set off anxiety attacks in Malik, who finally finds relief when he meets the darkly handsome handyman, Balil (Salim Kechiouche, Full Speed, Grande école, 3 Dancing Slaves). They begin a tentative relationship, but Islamic mores, a still class conscience society, and the ever-presence of his mother threaten their young love. Le fil is a forbidden love story as well as a character study of people lost in rapidly changing cultures. Don't miss this engaging, insightful and undeniably sexy drama.

Desiderata - Max Ehrmann Another inspirational poem set to music ;) if you like this check out my other vids, feel free to comment. Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love, for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than <b>...</b>

Passing Through: www.youtube.com - Friends, Please visit my Poet friend "Passing Through's" YouTube channel: www.youtube.com , and support him - Thanks :) I. Pezzo i forma di sonatina: Andante non troppo; Allegro moderato Tchaikovsky's Serenade for Strings in C major, Op. 48, premiered in 1880, remains today one of the late Romantic era's most definitive compositions. In his score, Tchaikovsky supposedly wrote, "The larger the string orchestra, the better will the composer's desires be fulfilled." Serenade for Strings has 4 movements: I. Pezzo i forma di sonatina: Andante non troppo; Allegro moderato; this was an homage to Mozart II. Valse: Moderato; Tempo di valse III. Élégie: Larghetto elegiaco IV. Finale (Tema russo): Andante; Allegro con spirito (We appreciate Wikipaedia's contributions in the descriptions here)

www.ted.com In clear, nontechnical language, string theorist Brian Greene explains how our understanding of the universe has evolved from Einstein's notions of gravity and space-time to superstring theory, where minuscule strands of energy vibrating in 11 dimensions create every particle and force in the universe. (This mind-bending theory may soon be put to the test at the Large Hadron Collider in Geneva).TEDTalks is a daily video podcast of the best talks and performances from the TED Conference, where the world's leading thinkers and doers give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes. I just happened upon this trick when testing what it was like filming from inside my guitar. *Note this effect is due to the rolling shutter, which is non-representative of how strings actually vibrate. Tips: • You must have the strings brightly backlit to get the camera to capture at such a high frame rate (pure conjecture). You can see how the effect fades when the buildings come into view. • Use a pencil *This was used with the front facing camera, try the back camera, it may capture better! (tried it, it didn't look as good for me) There is a heated discussion with *real science* over at reddit www.reddit.com *UPDATE here is the 'tracklist' :14 - "Tears in Heaven" by Eric Clapton :56 - "Signe" by Eric Clapton 2:57 - Snippet of "Tomorrow Land" by John Scofield - the rest is just noodling around. Also, I never thought I'd be known as a 'youtube guitarist', I just play for fun- I'm actually a motion graphics designer/animator. Check out www.justkyle.com follow me on twitter! http

The second movement of 28 year-old Ravel's Quatuor à Cordes. He is said to have been meticulous in his writing, and, finally, a group of musicians have matched his efforts in terms of attention. This is, in my opinion, the best performance and recording of this piece. The second movement is possibly the most known, as audiences remember the pizzicato opening; its usage in media, such as for the film "The Royal Tenenbaums" (W. Anderson) and as trailer music for films such as "Be Kind Rewind" (M. Gondry) also furthers its memorability. Assez vif introduces two new melodies; a rhythmic melody and a contrasting "sung" melody, which is both graceful and heroic. It is as though these are character motifs. (September 20, 2010) Leonard Susskind gives a lecture on the string theory and particle physics. He is a world renown theoretical physicist and uses graphs to help demonstrate the theories he is presenting. String theory (with its close relative, M-theory) is the basis for the most ambitious theories of the physical world. It has profoundly influenced our understanding of gravity, cosmology, and particle physics. In this course we will develop the basic theoretical and mathematical ideas, including the string-theoretic origin of gravity, the theory of extra dimensions of space, the connection between strings and black holes, the "landscape" of string theory, and the holographic principle. This course was originally presented in Stanford's Continuing Studies program. Op. 110 Mov. 3 Allegretto Performed by: Kronos String Quartet Note: I highly recommend playing the next movement as soon as this movement finishes playing. This whole quartet is supposed to be played without stopping. (at least that's how I interpret it)

The first movement of 28 year-old Ravel's Quatuor à Cordes. He is said to have been meticulous in his writing, and, finally, a group of musicians have matched his efforts in terms of attention. This is, in my opinion, the best performance and recording of this piece. Allegro moderato introduces the main theme to be repeated in movements III and IV. The atmosphere developed is one of warmth and a contrasting vastness. The last 30 seconds always gave me the impression of falling asleep, once again surrounded by warmth.
