These runs at the AQHA World Show are great examples of an ideal team roping run for a heel horse. The first run shows Dude rate off when the steer gets lgged off a bit slow and the second shows what it should look like when everything goes right. (Except Bobby legged the steer ;) but we won't hold that against him.)

From the Great Basin Tradition Classic Rodea Style Ranch Roping with Martin Black Martin Blacks family has maintained the ranching tradition on the same ranch since 1865. His great grandfather grew up with the horsemanship and roping of the vaqueros that brought their large herds of cattle to the Great Basin in the 1870s. For several generations, the style, principles and ethics have been handed down. Martin would like to share some insight to the culture and traditions that he has lived and hopes to preserve and pass it on for others to enjoy. Man! If I knew I get the response, I got from team roping. This 09 NFR was the greatest display of team roping ever @ the National Finals, especially round 9 where the record was broken twice. Historic is only an after thought! If you wanted to win a round, you had to be below the 4 second mark. Amazing! Looking forward to 2010!

Remote controlled calf roping dummy for sale. I have attached my heel-o-matic on top of this dummy and used it like a Buford with a 50 foot radius circle, we have also used it to tow a HotHeels with the same radius. It is an older model sparky machine and comes with the team roping body with steer head and molded back legs for heading and heeling. This unit comes with remote controlled base, charger, two remotes, the calf roping sled and tying dummy, and the team roping body that originally came with the Sparky. This unit can be unplugged from the charger and be ready to rope in under fifteen minutes. I usually don't rope it for more than half an hour and can get up to twenty runs on one horse in that time. Great for training young horses or tuning older horses. The horse in the video was my daughter's breakaway horse and in two sessions with this dummy was hauled to a 4-h rodeo and placed in the ribbon roping on him. With a couple more sessions on the dummy she then went to the 4-h finals and won 4th in the average on him. I then won second on him at a rodeo after one more session on the dummy. My daughter also won two saddles in the ribbon roping two consecutive years on an older heel horse that was tuned up on this dummy before the rodeo. If you want a good practice dummy for training horses and young ropers, this is what you are looking for. We have owned this sparky for seven years and have had absolutely no problems with it, it is like having a hired hand drive the <b>...</b>
