Red Rum's Song, a tribute to the great race horse Red Rum, recorded at Strawberry Studios, Stockport, Manchester. Performed by Chris Swann, Trevor James, Robin & Cheryl. I am the producer of the record, and it was released on Pye Records in 1979. The song contains the original BBC radio commentary of Red Rum's third Grand National victory, by the late Peter Bromley. This is home movie footage I filmed of the singers of the song meeting Red Rum at Aintree racecourse for a press & TV call. Red Rum's trainer Ginger McCain, a very nice guy, arranged the day especially for us and brought "Rummy" to Aintree for the occasion. Although it was originally thought he would race that year, he never did.

While running backup, I made use of my usual Action Replay codes with Super Monkey Ball 2 and encountered this. This was very funny the first time I started it and I knew I wanted to record it. This only reliably works with the "starlight highway" race course. You have to use the debug mode "timestop" in order to stop this clock (as AR's standard "infinite time" code does not work here). The good items of use only appear while in first place. It gives new meaning to the "monkey fight" minigame and with a bizarre twist to it even though this is "monkey race".

A Drivers view from 2 Road Racecourse to Newmarket Junction. The Racecourse line is a small branch off the Broadmeadows/Craigieburn line servicing the Showgrounds and Flemington Racecourse. Passenger trains only run during special events, however, Metro utilise the stabling facilities for suburban trains (Comeng & Hitachi Only). Two position signalling is in use and the Racecourse Signal Box is a fully mechanical interlocked lever frame. At 00:34 you can see the Disc signal rotate to Proceed to allow me to move up towards the left hand semaphore arm on the bracket post just past the end of the platform.
