If you could only ever see one Macworld keynote with Steve Jobs, this would be it. In the final half hour of this Macworld, Mr. Jobs was at the top of his game with the audience completely eating out of his hand. Apple had the technology introductions to back it up too: the world's first 17in widescreen notebook, the first full featured 12in notebook, first ever introduction of 802.11g, first ever backlit keyboard, first introduction of firewire 800. With each introduction the audience goes crazy, and Steve continues to bring them out with perfect salesman timing. This segment begins right after he just got done introducing Keynote for the first time as well, and he gave everyone in the audience a free copy. They were primed. This 3 part video should serve instructionally for anyone who ever aspired to giving a great presentation. No doubt, Steve Jobs is the master at this, and as I said earlier, this may be his greatest Keynote ever. part 2: www.youtube.com part 3: www.youtube.com

I've been wanting this laptop since I was 5 years old, but could never afford it and one day I got lucky at the thrift store for $10 but it needed some work to get it running, it had a few things on the drive, It had Microsoft word for mac and System 7.1 so I went to apples site and found the image for the restore disks and I downloaded and imported them to my MacOS emulator and used my USB floppy drive to make the disks, before I did that I backed up Claris Works 4.0, the laptop has 4MB of ram, 80MB SCSI Hard drive, a Motorola 68030 running at 33Mhz, it had 16MB ram but the expansion card was toast and causing it not to boot up, and I had all the classic mac games on floppy, but the floppies went bad form old age The games I'm hoping to find for it are.... Space Junky Mac Brick out Super Munchers Munchies Tetris Glypha III Organ Trail If you can think about any classic Mac game, please post a link to it and I would greatly appreciate it

Here's a circa 1997 PowerBook 3400c running Mac OS 9.1, and also booting into Ubuntu 9.10 Linux. It uses SLiM login manager, and Icewm GUI. I installed Ubuntu using the Ubuntu PowerPC 9.10 Alternate Installer, and BootX. If desired, I can post more details about how I did it. It's not a process for the faint of heart. It would take several pages of text to fully explain how I did it. I can't point to one specific website of resources. I probably used the advice of 20 websites combined to complete the task, along with a great deal of experimentation on my own. There's still a lot of configuration and work to do, but here's a brief video of startup sequence, and a tour of the hardware. Enjoy! Specs: Apple Macintosh PowerBook 3400c Processor: PowerPC 603e 240 MHz RAM: 80 MB Hard disk: 40 GB 5400 RPM PATA Display: 800 x 600 16-bit color 6X CD-ROM drive Battery still holds a nice charge (an hour or more) For specs of this computer when it was originally released, see support.apple.com 5 GB partition with Mac OS 9.1 33 GB partition with Ubuntu 9.10

This is a last resort way of ejecting a stuck disk in a powerbook g4 aluminum. Before this you should try ejecting through disk utility, holding the mouse button at startup, try ejecting through iTunes, and try ejecting from open firmware (more info can be found on google). If all of these fail and your disk is still stuck try this: Use a thin (stress thin) piece of cardboard or metal (I used tweezers and worked like a charm). If using tweezers make sure you squeeze them really tight so they're flat, then insert them all the way to the right of the drive as you hit eject. Push it in about 2 inches or so and move around a little until you feel as though you hit something and you hear some sort of click. You will know if the disk starts coming out and if so, take the tweezers out quickly. Then the disk should come out and you have not damaged anything. If you mess up and do damage something internally, I am not liable (do this at your own risk).

A classic 68030 Mac PowerBook with a tiny but crisp active-matrix color LCD screen -- a nice (but expensive!) feature at a time when most laptops had dim, ghosty passive matrix LCDs (many still even in monochrome). It is surprisingly responsive running System 7.1, too, compared to my Mac LC (with a lowly 16 MHz 68020). Unfortunately the original battery doesn't hold a charge, but otherwise it's in great shape.

Hey guys, just a quick review of my new PowerBook G4, I know it's not an new machine but it is fine for me at the moment. Hope you enjoy! Sorry guys - there won't actually be PowerBook videos any more. Basically, instead of doing anything more with the PowerBook, I decided to sell it. This is because I am getting some money from my family towards a new MacBook for college so any new videos will be based around that and other things now. Mainly technology but some other cool stuff aswell! :)
