Postmen - Cocktail en.wikipedia.org Postmen was a reggae/hip hop band from the Netherlands. After their split up, former member The Anonymous Mis continued as Postman. The group was founded by The Anonymous Mis and G-Boah in 1993. They were influenced by Kool G Rap, Eric B & Rakim, Burning Spear and Bob Marley. On the road, Postmen play with a live band and have appeared on some the largest festivals in Europe. Just before their debut LP Documents, Rollarocka joins the band and a string of hit singles followed. Within Europe they got to be rather popular, particularly in their home country of the Netherlands, scoring top 40 hits with the songs "Cocktail", "Crisis" and "U Wait" amongst others. Postmen received regular radio-airplay (particularly during the summer season) although their second and third albums (Revival and Era) didn't match these successes. Postmen split up in 2005 because the three members had drifted apart. Anonymous Mis continued as Postman and released his solo-album Green in 2006. The lead single features vocals from his award-winning rockstar-wife Anouk. They spent a year in Ohio with their three children to escape the pressures of fame, but eventually settled in Amsterdam. In May 2008 the couple announced their break-up.

Also known as the King of Freestyle, Stevie B is perhaps best-known for his 1990 number-one hit "Because I Love You (The Postman Song)." Career Born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Stevie B worked a variety of jobs—from car washing to fast food—before gaining recognition for his 1987 national club smash "Party Your Body". It was also the title track of his 1988 debut LP, which eventually went gold. In 1989, he had his first top 40 hits with "I Wanna Be the One," "In My Eyes," and "Love Me For Life." With his 1990 album, Love & Emotion, he reached the height of his success, with the accompanying single "Because I Love You" enjoying four weeks at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 in December 1990.[1] He had two subsequent top 15 hits with "I'll Be by Your Side" and the title track from the album.[1] In 1998, The Best of Stevie B was released, highlighting the light dance-pop sound that marked the start of his career.

LINK: tinyurl.com Probably the most pop-oriented of Motown's major female acts, the Marvelettes didn't project as strong an identity as the Supremes, Mary Wells, or Martha Reeves, but recorded quite a few hits, including Motown's first number one single, "Please Mr. Postman" (1961). "Postman," as well as other chirpy early-'60s hits like "Playboy," "Twistin' Postman," and "Beechwood 4-5789," were the label's purest girl group efforts. Featuring two strong lead singers, Gladys Horton and Wanda Young, the Marvelettes went through five different lineups, but maintained a high standard on their recordings. After a few years, they moved from girl group sounds to up-tempo and mid-tempo numbers that were more characteristic of Motown's production line. They received no small help from Smokey Robinson, who produced and wrote many of their singles; Holland-Dozier-Holland, Berry Gordy, Mickey Stevenson, Marvin Gaye, and Ashford-Simpson also got involved with the songwriting and production at various points. After the mid-'60s Wanda Young assumed most of the lead vocal duties; Gladys Horton departed from the group in the late '60s. While the Marvelettes didn't cut as many monster smashes as most of their Motown peers after the early '60s, they did periodically surface with classic hits like "Too Many Fish in <b>...</b>
