LOBO I'd Love You To Want Me. Classic Love Story Video www.mybestyears.com When I saw you standing there I about fell off my chair When you moved your mouth to speak I felt the blood go to my feet Now it took time for me to know What you tried so not to show Something in my soul just cried I see the want in your blue eyes Baby, I'd love you to want me The way that I want you The way that it should be Baby, you'd love me to want you The way that I want to If you'd only let it be You told yourself years ago You'd never let your feelings show The obligation that you made For the title that they gave Baby, I'd love you to want me The way that I want you The way that it should be Baby, you'd love me to want you The way that I want to If you'd only let it be Now it took time for me to know What you tried so not to show Something in my soul just cried I see the want in your blue eyes Baby, I'd love you to want me The way that I want you The way that it should be Baby, you'd love me to want you The way that I want to If you'd only let it be

THIS WAS LOBO'S (KENT LAVOIE) FIRST BIG HIT. IT WENT TO #5 ON THE BILLBOARD CHARTS IN 1971. FROM 1971 THROUGH 1979 LOBO HAD 8 SONGS LAND IN THE TOP 40. LYRICS: I remember to this day The bright red Georgia clay And how it stuck to the tires After the summer rain Will power made that old car go A woman's mind told me that so Oh how I wish We were back on the road again (CHORUS) Me and you and a dog named boo Travellin' and livin' off the land Me and you and a dog named boo How I love being a free man I can still recall The wheat fields of St. Paul And the morning we got caught Robbing from an old hen Old McDonald he made us work But then he paid us for what it was worth Another tank of gas And back on the road again (CHORUS) I'll never forget the day We motored stately into big LA The lights of the city put settlin' Down in my brain Though it's only been a month or so That old car's buggin' us to go We've gotta get away and get back on The road again (CHORUS) copyright Kaiser Music / Famous Music / Big Leaf Music

This is a small compilation of what I thought were the funniest moments in the episode The Main Man Part 1 of the Superman animated series. Lobo also appears on the episode Hereafter of Justice League, and he appears also very briefly at the end of another episode of the Superman animated series. Lobo is in my opinion one of the best anti-heroes ever. He does not fight for justice, he is simply a mercenary looking to get into fights, making money, and having a good time.

KENT LAVOIE TOOK THIS SONG TO #8 ON THE BILLBOARD CHARTS IN 1973. LYRICS: I stopped sending flowers to your apartment You said you aren't home much anymore I stopped dropping by without an appointment Cause I'd hear laughter coming through your door. Sometimes late at night you'll still call me Just before you close your eyes to sleep You make me vow to try and stop by sometime Baby that's a promise I can't keep. I love you too much to ever start liking you So lets just let the story kinda end I love you too much to ever start liking you So don't expect me to be your friend. I don't walk down through the village or other places That we used to go to all the time I'm trying to erase you from my memory Cause thinking of you jumbles up my mind. You always act so happy when I see you You smile that way you take my hand and then Introduce me to your latest lover That's when I feel the walls start crashing in.

Come because I wanna love you, I wanna drive you, like me crazy. [CHORUS 2X] Myslím na teba, Suzanna Myslím na teba od rána Že si mi lásku nedala Ľúbim ťa veľmi, Suzanna Oh... Come because I wanna kiss you You know I miss you, my baby Come because I wanna love you I wanna drive you, like me crazy Come because I wanna kiss you You know I miss you, my baby Come because I wanna love you I wanna drive you, like me crazy [CHORUS 4X]

A great song by a great and sadly neglected performer. And for no other reason than it needs to be heard!!!

Biography [edit]Early career: 1960s Born in Tallahassee, Florida, Lavoie was raised by his mother in Winter Haven, Florida with his six siblings. He began his musical career in 1961 as a member of a local band, The Rumours. The band included Gram Parsons and Jim Stafford, as well as drummer Jon Corneal, who later joined Parsons' International Submarine Band. In 1964, while attending the University of South Florida, Lavoie joined a band called the Sugar Beats and met producer Phil Gernhard. He recorded a regional hit for the band, a cover of Johnny Rivers' song, "What Am I Doing Here". During the 1960s, Lavoie performed with many other bands, including US Male, The Uglies, and Me and the Other Guys. It was in the latter band that he met musician Billy Aerts, who became a member of Lobo's touring band in the early 1970s and produced Lobo's comeback album in 1989. Again working with Gernhard, his first solo record was released in 1969 on Laurie Records. It included the original tracks "Happy Days In New York City" backed with "My Friend Is Here". [edit]Early 1970s By 1971, Lavoie had started calling himself Lobo (Spanish for wolf). Gernhard was an executive for Big Tree Records, and the company released his first single, "Me and You and a Dog Named Boo". The first major hit for the label, it reached number 5 in the US and launched a successful series of singles. The song also reached number 4 in the UK. It sold over one million copies, and was awarded a gold disc in ...

KENT LAVOIE. LYRICS:Where do butterflies go when it rains? Who goes around & tucks in the trains? What makes a teddy bear like to sleep? Why do we all make promises that we can't keep? Where do puppy dogs go when their sad? And what do elephants say when their mad? Who do you tell if you don't have a friend? Why do we open our mouths and stick our foot in? These are the things that bother me, Not a lot of things across some sea, I don't even have a master plan, I guess that I am just a simple man. Where do robins sleep on the road? And how can a little ant carry that load? Why write words that we have to erase? Why does everyone have more than one face? copyright 1972 Kaiser Music / Famous Music

LYRICS: Written by Lobo I've seen a lot of things change in many ways Since I was a boy back in the rock and roll days Back when a bust was a six-pack of cold beer. Marciano, he was champ the band all played through one amp And the biggest thing was getting rubber in second gear I love the rock and roll days And I love all the good old ways We used to do things in our crowd I love the rock and roll days And I love all the good old ways We used to do the same things that we do now. The only bikes back there were Schwinns The only pigs were the bad wolf's friend And going to the outdoor movie was something neat Messing around then was not big That's the one thing I did not dig I was lucky to get as far as the back seat. copyright 1973 Kaiser Music / Famous Music

While being set up to record, having recorded "Auld Lang Syme," I recorded this piece that I like to jam on. This Brazilian classic has been performed by Sergio Mendes, Toots Thielmans, and Flora Purim, among many others. In the middle of the piece (at 3:49) I decided to try something I've been working on. I closed my eyes and tried to play a random cluster of notes. I actually played an F#7 chord. But the goal was to completely improvise a transition back to the main part of the tune. Normally, I think I would have tried to set up the EbM7#11 chord, but I ended up setting up a BbM7/D chord as a substitution for the EbM7#11 chord. The chords which served as a launching pad for the this re-entry (BbM7/D) were Eb7sus4 and BM7/Eb. Taking myself out of my comfort zone is something I'm practicing more and more, because it's exciting, challenging, forces you to think, and allows you to create something new and fresh. Believing that atonality is an illusion, I find that almost every time, I can take a random cluster of notes, figure out tonal wise what it's trying to say, and consequently, what tonalities I can use around it. Sometime I'll have to record a video which specifically focuses on what I'm talking about here. :)
