This video is for fan purposes only. No copyright infringement intended. Images of Gene Tierney, and leading men. Orchestra conducted by David Raksin. Hauntingly, beautiful music composed for the film noir classic "Laura". This is a compilation of stills and publicity shots of Gene Tierney taken mostly during the rise and height ofher career. Gene Tierney, and a Theory of All Things For love of an image, The essence of God, Through faith vindicated, Grains cramped in a pod. A world reassembled, Of infinite small, Grows full into looming, And then out to sprawl. Tinged nebulous clouds, Condense to form, A work of creation, Concealing a storm. Ensnared light and powder, So squeezed in a ball, Blasts ripples of glitter, In making the All. By sanction from vapor, Emerges a shape, A sphere of enchantment Too dense to escape. Then bliss of perfection Is not out of sight, But to it, I cannot, Advance without plight. It lies on a path, So tracked of my heart. First flaring, then fading, A cross on no chart. No delusion of sunlight, O'er spackling the eyes, Shall darken my vision, With phantasmal lies. Light senses no touch, Nor feelings a glaze, A portrait no passion, Lest love sets a blaze. As ever extending, The journey's end seems, She never abandons, The realm of my dreams. I click on a string, Her shrine is my start, Sufficed to admire, The thrall of her art.
