Music by Yu Miyake and Masayuki Tanaka I simply couldn't bring myself to knock this song from the list - even though there are undoubtedly better songs out there. I needed to give my video capture device a test run so I hooked up the PS2 and captured a video of myself playing through star 4 on Katamari Damacy. I even managed to reach the goal in under 5 minutes! WOO! ^_^ ps. Playing games in a little 320x240 window on a laptop screen coupled with the latency between the console, the video capture hardware and the actual image makes playing a lil hard!

In Katamari Damacy, the ever-growing ball of bits and bobs is controlled by touching the screen to roll it in any direction. The warp is easily accessible when you are 1m11cm1mm (starting size). I don't know if it works otherwise. You pretty much just drop down to the "oxen beach" and roll your katamari to the grass/beach barrier and roll backwards. The king will then apologize for the inconvenience when you reappear near the other beach near the park. :)

**Tutorial, Make a Star 1 and Comet** Katamari is a crazy, trippy, and addictive PS2 game with a highly creative, yet easy to grasp concept. I've only owned this game for about 2 weeks, yet here I am LPing it! There's not a whole lot to explain, so this first episode pretty much covers how the game works. The rest of the videos should be really casual, which is a great change of pace for me compared to Majora's Mask (temporarily on hold until this summer.) Katamari Damacy is a third-person puzzle-action video game that is published and developed by Namco for the PlayStation 2 video game console. It was first released in Japan, and then later in South Korea and North America. The game resulted from a school project from the Namco Digital Hollywood Game Laboratory, and was developed for less than $1 million. In designing Katamari Damacy, the development team aimed to maintain four key points: novelty, ease of understanding, enjoyment, and humor. The game's plot concerns a diminutive prince on a mission to rebuild the stars, constellations and Moon, which were accidentally destroyed by his father, the King of All Cosmos. This is achieved by rolling a magical, highly adhesive ball called a katamari around various locations, collecting increasingly larger objects, ranging from thumbtacks to people to mountains, until the ball has grown large enough to become a star. Katamari Damacy's story, characters, and settings are bizarre and heavily stylized, rarely attempting any semblance of realism, though the brands and items used are based on those current in Japan during the game's production.
