King of Kart IV Final Game (abridged) 1 of 2 from Donnatokimo's view point
KOK is a week long game held twice a year in Japan to decide who's the best karter amoung the 30 racers. The 1st KOK champ: ZN, 2nd champ: Chikuten, 3rd Champ: Niyaniya, and the KOK IV champ is Chikuten. Congrats Chikuten! Donnatokimo: "This is the final game of KOK IV. It's too much to upload whole 3 GPs, so I just picked up the races from here and there to show you how I managed it. It was great fun to compete with other fast carters all at once! As for the final result, I ended up getting the bronze. Special thanks to Kamiyo, who hosted this event, as well as the rest of the karters." About Donnatokimo (roughly means "whenever"): He emerged in latter part of last year by uploading his vids with good annotations in Japan. Seemingly this is the 1st time for him to take part in KOK series, unless he used different name in the past series. In this vid, you'll notice he's a very skilled karter and tactician. See how he keeps Chikuten at bay. This abridged (by him) vid is from the last game (one game consists of 3 Grands Prix). Among the players, you'll find Chikuten (KOK II champ), Nanashi ("7Na4@"), MK9 (the head of BLT: excels in both bike&kart), Niyaniya (means "smirking", KOK III champ), Mui ("61610", one of the best auto specialists).

4WD hybrid electric go-kart (4 motors) - Part 1
Four wheel drive petrol / electric hybrid go-kart, Independent adjustable height suspension, home built PWM drive. 4 x 300W 24 volt motors. Petrol motor changes & maintains batteries, drive circuit controls alternator voltage and stops motor stalling under max load. Just changed to 4 x 1Kw motors, will post an update, really, when starting up the 1kw motors are putting out a lot more (probably 1.5kw), the old 300w motors were putting out more like 500w on start up, got very hot, fine on flat ground but in the mud etc they could burn out (I melted one) just as well the PWM is an overkill. With the 1Kv motors it feels like it will go anywhere and knocks you back in the seat when it takes off. (I will see if it goes anywhere and post the video!) Video posted: www.youtube.com
