One of two collaborations between David Hodges and Amy Lee. Breathe is actually a very well known inspirational song. Recorded in 2000 for The Summit Church's Summit Worship CD, now out of print. The final quote is from the Bible, Romans 8:38-39. **Lyrics** This is the air I breathe This is the air I breathe Your holy presence living in me This is my daily bread This is my daily bread Your very word spoken to me And I, I'm desperate for you And I, I'm lost without you This is the air I breathe This is the air I breathe Your holy presence living in me This is my daily bread This is my daily bread Your very word spoken to me And I, I'm desperate for you I'm desperate for you And I, I'm lost without you I'm lost without you And I, I'm desperate for you I'm desperate for you And I, I'm lost without you I'm lost without you I'm lost without you I'm lost without you I'm lost without you This is the air I breathe This is the air I breathe Your holy presence living in me And I, I'm desperate for you I'm desperate for you And I, I'm lost without you I'm lost without you And I, I'm desperate for you I'm desperate for you And I, I'm lost without you I'm lost without you I'm lost without you I'm lost without you I'm lost without you "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus ...

www.jazzvideoguy.tv presents Johnny Hodges, in concert. Possessor of one of the most beautiful tones ever heard in jazz, altoist Johnny Hodges formed his style early on and had little reason to change it through the decades. Although he could stomp with the best swing players and was masterful on the blues, Hodges' luscious playing on ballads has never been topped. He played drums and piano early on before switching to soprano sax when he was 14. Hodges was taught and inspired by Sidney Bechet, although he soon used alto as his main ax; he would regretfully drop soprano altogether after 1940. His early experiences included playing with Lloyd Scott, Chick Webb, Luckey Roberts, and Willie "The Lion" Smith (1924), and he also had the opportunity to work with Bechet. However, Johnny Hodges' real career began in 1928 when he joined Duke Ellington's orchestra. He quickly became one of the most important solo stars in the band and a real pacesetter on alto; Benny Carter was his only close competition in the 1930s. Hodges was featured on a countless number of performances with Ellington and also had many chances to lead recording dates with Ellington's sidemen. Whether it was "Things Ain't What They Used to Be," "Come Sunday," or "Passion Flower," Hodges was an indispensable member of Ellington's orchestra in the 1930s and '40s. It was therefore a shock, in 1951, when he decided to leave Duke Ellington and lead a band of his own. Hodges had a quick hit in "Castle Rock" (which ...

@cookdandbombd - www.cookdandbombd.co.uk Encoded by lfbarfe! Watching the Duke Ellington Jazz 65 show (kindly encoded by Mr lfbarfe), I was VERY taken with the performance of Isfahan, from the "Far East Suite." I've chopped it out to share on YouTube, partly so I can keep it handy. Hope you enjoy it. Johnny Hodge's playing is extraordinarily beautiful, very warm and emotive. If you like this, then check out Demonoid for the full thing.

I was too close to the speaker but it was the only place to get a good shot. edit: I'm not sure why the video glitches around the 3 minute mark. It doesn't take away from the purpose of the video though, So I'll leave it as is. Video by Jason Watson

Lyrics Another Red Light: another red light on a cold november day i see the faces following close in a long headlight parade to a resting place where tear-stained eyes say goodbye i've been moving so fast i've forgotten where i'm going i'm driving blind but the wheels of life have a beautiful way of slowing you down sometimes to catch your breath and take a second to smile when you're not supposed to laugh and cry when you're supposed to hold it back and live like the sun is burning out of the sky 'cause tomorrow's too late so don't waste a day of this life the long black car moves slow through the intersection i take a left and i point my life in the opposite direction i take a breath 'cause i can't help thinking that the man in that lincoln is telling me to smile when you're not supposed to laugh and cry when you're supposed to hold it back and live like the sun is burning out of the sky 'cause tomorrow's too late so don't waste a day of this life so many souls are set on leaving for eden but i will cherish this time here yeah yeah smile when you're not supposed to laugh and cry when you're supposed to hold it back and live like the sun is burning out of tuhe sky 'cause tomorrow's too late there's no time to wait so don't waste a day in this life *Please purchase the album on iTunes or Amazon.

Singer-songwriter JT Hodges grew up in Fort Worth, Texas, where his parents established Buffalo Sound Studios, the city's first multi-track recording studio. Clients included artists as diverse as T Bone Burnett and Michael Bolton. His father studied concert piano at Juilliard and then attended the University of North Texas to get a master's degree in jazz composition. Hodges' mother sang in his father's band but opted to raise a family even after getting a country record deal with MCA Nashville. After graduating from Texas Christian University, Hodges moved to Los Angeles and spent several years on the coffeehouse circuit to test his original material. He met his wife in California, but they later moved to Nashville. In 2010, he landed a record deal. His first album for the Show Dog-Universal is being produced by Nashville music veterans Mark Wright, Don Cook and Mark Collie. Vince Gill contributes a harmony vocal and guitar solo to one of the tracks. "Hunt You Down," Hodges' first single for the label, was released in June 2011 In his Music Row review of the single, respected music critic Robert K.Oermann said, "this has a certain 'presence.' JT's not only a solid writer, but his vocal performance is up-close and personal, packed with personality and exuding confidence. The deep-twang guitar and driving production are also pluses. A star is born!" Nate Deaton// KRTY GM/ San Joes said, "JT has what we are always looking for; the look, the sound and the ability to stand ...

I heard this song on Criminal minds and loved it. (: I noticed it wasn't very popular so I wanted to make lyrics for it. (: I do not own this song, Criminal Minds, or any of the pictures in the slideshow (except three), much to my dismay. Enjoy! (: _Just incase you find the lyrics difficult to read.._ Cold wind blows, I am shivering My body aches as my heart is breaking Why is life making me hollow? Why is happiness casting me in the shadows? In the shadows. Hold on, dont turn and walk away Save me And I cried these words but nobody came Im all alone, running scared Losing my way in the dark I tried to get up, stand on a prayer But I keep crashing down hard This is my side of the story Only my side of the story Nobody cares, nobodys there, no one will hear My side of the story Emptiness its all around me I try to catch my breath I barely survive and I Cant go on and I come undone and theres Nothing left in me Hold on, dont turn and walk away save me And I cried these words but nobody came Im all alone, running scared Losing my way in the dark I tried to get up, stand on a prayer But I keep crashing down hard This is my side of the story Only my burden to bear Nobody cares, nobodys there, no one will hear As I fall down As I fall in And I cried these words but nobody came Im all alone, running scared Losing my way in the dark I tried to get up, stand on a prayer But I keep crashing down hard This is my side of the story Only my side of the story My side of the story ...

I came up river on a gravel barge from New Orleans She was standing on the cobblestones in a pair of cut-off jeans I asked what she was doin', she said "Sugar, I'm killin' time". Then I handed her my wallet and said, "Baby, so am I" {*Whistling*} She said "You might need these" and then handed me her shades Took me to a barroom darker than the ace of spades I asked "What's this we're drinkin'?" She said "Call it smokey Blues" I couldn't tell you what it tasted like, but I know I had a few... And we danced and we laughed, never talked about tomorrow We just lived a little in the here and now With her hands in my hair, like a million magic fingers She said "Look me up when you get back to town" "Look you up," I said, "Hell, I'm gonna hunt you down." Na na-na-na na na nah, na na na na nah na, hunt you down. She asked where I was comin' from I said "I'm just comin' round, how 'bout you?" Then she drove me to the highest hill in Germantown "My daddy's money bought the mansion, they threw in the plane for free" She said, "I can drop you off anywhere or you can stay with me" And we danced and we laughed, never talked about tomorrow We just lived a little in the here and now With her hands in my hair, like a million magic fingers She said "Look me up when you get back to town' "Look you up," I said, "Hell, I'm gonna hunt you down."
