The Fry's Electronics 747 does an AMAZING low flyby at the Miramar 'Top Gun' Air Show in San Diego -- you've never seen a jet like this do such a minimum altitude pass! NOTE there was no audio since this was done with multiple broadcast cameras - hence the often-maligned musical accompaniment...

hitchfry.intelligencesquared.com In this historic event, Stephen Fry and other friends of Christopher Hitchens came together to celebrate the life and work of this great writer, iconoclast and debater. Fry was joined on stage at the Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall by Richard Dawkins and the two discussed Hitch's unflinching commitment to the truth. Hollywood actor Sean Penn was beamed in from LA by Google+ and, between cigarette puffs, read from Hitch's acclaimed work, The Trial of Henry Kissinger. Five friends of Hitch spoke via satellite in New York: satirist Christopher Buckley and editor Lewis Lapham mused on Hitch's prowess as a journalist. 'Like a pot of gold', said Lapham. Martin Amis, Salman Rushdie and James Fenton delighted the audience with stories of Hitchens as a young man. Rushdie drew roars of laughter when he recounted a word game invented by Amis and Hitchens where the word 'love' is replaced with 'hysterical sex'. Particular favourites included Hysterical Sex in the Time of Cholera and Hysterical Sex Is All You Need. Watching the event with Hitch at his bedside in Texas, Hitch's wife Carol and novelist Ian McEwan provided an email commentary. 'His Rolls Royce mind is still purring beautifully', typed McEwan. The event was watched live by 2500 at the venue, and by thousands more in UK cinemas and online.

National treasure Stephen Fry joined provocateur extraordinaire Christopher Hitchens to debate against Ann Widdicome and the Archbishop of Abuja, John Onaiyekan. The topic was 'Is Catholicism a force for good in the world?'. Needless to say, Hitchens & Fry didn't think so. Also needless to say, they provided the most convincing arguments of the evening. Mr Fry's passionate and emotional speech is presented here in its entirety, along with his closing remarks. You can watch the entire debate, which runs about fifty minutes, by going to: www.intelligencesquared.com

www.facebook.com | Language is what defines humans from other species, and with our planet home to around 7000 different languages, words have played a crucial role in our evolution. Renowned wordsmith and host of this series, Stephen Fry, is the perfect guide for this fascinating exploration of language in all its forms: from cutting edge linguistic research to the glories of world literature. The series travels the globe as Fry takes viewers on a journey through the thousands of years since man first mastered speech to the cyber world of today with its HTML, codes and texting. Revealing how language is used, abused and continues to evolve, Fry's Planet Word looks at whether we are any closer to understanding the most complex activity of the human brain.

UPDATE 24/05/2011:Thankyou to @hedgehoglet for the Russian Subtitles UPDATE 11/10/2010: Thanks to Stephen Fry for mentioning this video on his twitter account, rather exciting! Follow me at @RogersCreations on twitter Using the wonderful words of acclaimed writer, actor and allround know it all (I mean that in the best of ways) Stephen Fry I have created this kinetic typography animation. If you like what you hear you can download the rest of the audio file from Mr. Fry's website. stephenfry.com and then go to the audio and video section at the top of the page and look for the file entitled language. You can also find the file on iTunes by searching the name 'Stephen Fry's Podgrams'. I loved this particular essay on language and I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to make my first kinetic typography video. I hope you like it and even if you dont I would like to heard what you think in the comments section. Also I know that at points the audio does not match the text so you do not have to write that. It is because I copied the transcript off of Stephen's website and it was not 100% exactly what he said and i did not notice until I was well underway. However these cases are few and far between. Just incase you were wondering the programs I used to make this were all by Adobe. Mostly After Effects but also Flash and Illustrator. A great English icon visited an Aussie one when Stephen Fry came to the Sydney Opera House to discuss travel, language, the three W's (Wilde, Waugh and Wodehouse) and everything in between, in a 90 minute talk-fest. The night involved a cracking 45 minute chat by Fry and then a 45 minute Q&A with First Tuesday Book Club's Jennifer Byrne. A true polymath and the epitome of a Renaissance Man, Stephen Fry is a natural treasure in his native land of England. A writer, presenter, social commentator, satirist, actor and TV personality, Fry's diverse interests and enthusiasms have seen him become one of a small handful of global cultural figures who have a significant presence in every form of media; radio, TV, film, print and online. Better known for playing the lead in the film Wilde, Fry was Melchett in the Blackadder television series and is the host of the ABC TV quiz show, QI. He also presented the television series Stephen Fry In America, which saw him travelling across all 50 US States in a London cab. Apart from his work in television, Fry has contributed columns and articles for newspapers and magazines, and has written four novels and an autobiography, Moab Is My Washpot and appears frequently on BBC Radio. Fry wields considerable influence through his use of the social networking site Twitter and is frequently asked to promote various charities and causes, often inadvertently causing the host website to crash due to the sheer volume of traffic generated by his large <b>...</b>

Following the media coverage of Peter Cook's death in January 1995, Stephen Fry felt compelled to defend Cook and his achievements from criticism about his 'failure' to fulfil his potential. (As Jonathan Ross said shortly afterwards: "of course he fulfilled his youthful potential - he fulfilled it when he was still young".) This was broadcast about 36 hours after Cook's death.

"Guerre" ("War") is a song from the Mafia K'1 Fry's second studio album, "Jusqu'à la mort" ("Until the death") (2007). Small glossary: - Kärcher = high-pressure washer. Nicolas Sarkozy once declared that La Courneuve, a city outside of Paris where a boy was killed by a stray gunshot, would be "cleaned out with a Kärcher" meaning all criminals and other undesirables should be removed and washed out. This comment was highly controversial, as many French associate the banlieues with immigrants, especially North Africans.

Now HERE's a crazy boss! Large Fry is the utter description of chaos as far as this battle goes. This is the first boss in the game that gave me a bit of trouble just because there is so much going on if you do not manage the enemies well enough, that you may find your HP rapidly dwindling. The concept of this boss is simple... Feed Large Fry enough enemies until he spits out a bomb. Once the bomb is out, quickly toss it back into Large Fry's mouth to have it blow up inside of him. This causes him to grow in size, as well as doing some damage and making him vulnerable for a bit more damage. Large Fry gets ridiculously huge by the end of the boss battle... This makes dodging his missile attack an extreme pain since he will shoot three homing missiles at a time, and his sheer girth gives you very little room to get out of the way. This boss could have been the hardest boss fight to go into blindly, but due to enemies giving you garlic, it is still very easy to survive overall. Happy Christmas Eve to all, I'll be uploading the final boss video tomorrow!~ Enjoy!~
