June 12, 2009: OKLAHOMA CITY -- OHP released the dash cam footage of the trooper involved in a scuffle with a paramedic. There was a stalled car on the side of the road in the way so the Ambulance could not pull over to let the Police Officer pass him on the way to a call, so the Police Officer turns around and pulls over the Ambulance on the way to the Emergency Room to give the Ambulance driver a ticket and picks a fight with an EMT in the process. The Officer in question is on administrative leave.

A light hearted look into a practical training night for the EMT Basic course taught at the UMass Amherst campus. Teaching assistants from the student run UMass EMS present various trauma scenarios using intense make-up and acting to test students on their practical skills. The EMT Basic course is run by Prehospital Emergency Care Educators (PECE) with the support of UMass EMS. Moulage may be as simple as applying pre-made rubber or latex "wounds" to a healthy "patient's" limbs, chest, head, etc., or as complex as using complicated makeup and theatre techniques to provide elements of realism (such as blood, vomitus, open fractures, etc.) to the training simulation. The practice dates to at least the Renaissance, when wax figures were used for this purpose.
