SAGA #3 was the best third issue ever printed! OMG! I'm offering money back on all 3 issues of SAGA at A Comic Shop! It doesn't matter if you don't like sci-fi or fantasy, this story and the characters are totally unique and foreign while being more human and relatable than your average slice of life comic! Try it! Thief of Thieves continues to give this book depth and heart. Secret Service isn't your average Millar World book, but has his DNA all throughout. I think he's trying to write something with more gravitas for the legendary Dave (Watchmen) Gibbons. Justice League seems to be building toward Trinity War already and Night of Owls is intense. If you're not reading Nightwing with Snyder's Batman you're doing it wrong! Oh yeah, and Avengers vs X-Men #4 is here ending the first arc with a bang. Also,VS #2 is pure fun: great art, fun facts, face punches! Enjoy some of these books! I loved all of them for different reasons!

Free Comic Book Day and the Avengers movie were insane! These things we all love have never been hotter, it was comic books Best Week Ever! This week's actual output rocks as well. Batman's Night of the Owls has the flagship Snyder book and both Batgirl and Batman & Robin! All the bat family has to pitch in and seem to have bizarre awesome connections to the Court of Owls (even Alfred). X-Force #25 is on fire, AvX has Jason Aaron's book and New Avengers with Hickman's SHIELD! Dan the Unharmable by David Lapham and Avatar was like East Bound and Down meets Unbreakable. I highly recommend it to Avatar fans that are okay with dark humor without horror elements. Walking Dead #97 is the start of the big deal arc that has show characters join the comic cast! It's also the first issue past trade collection 16, so jump on for the ride to 100! Tony's book of the week is Atomic Robo volume 6, mine is The Pro's new printing! Who wins? His concerned roommates (Steve Zahn, Peter Dinklage) kidnap him to their LARP (Live Action Role Playing) gathering, where he enters a realm of fantasy escapism in which pretend knights, elves, and barbarians clash with foam weaponry on a mock battlefield. When Joe's "sorcerer" roommate (Zahn) inadvertently summons a deadly succubus that takes Beth's seductive form, bloody reality crashes down upon their fantasy world. Once LARPers start to turn up dead, the make-believe wizards and warriors must join forces with other adventurers (Summer Glau, Danny Pudi) to become the real life heroes they have been pretending to be and conquer the unleashed evil.
