This performance did in fact beat out Black Stalin's "Bun Dem", however he was edged out by Stalin (due to the 1st round performance) and had to settle for 2nd position. Rudder walked out arm in arm with Stalin when Stalin was announced Calypso Monarch. Talk about graciously accepting defeat. Saturday Night Fever: The Original Movie Sound Track is the soundtrack album from the blockbuster film Saturday Night Fever starring John Travolta. In the United States, the album was certified 15x Platinum for shipments of over 15 million copies. The album revived the phenomenon of disco in the US and was a national obsession. "Every so often, a piece of music comes along that defines a moment in popular culture history: Johann Strauss' operetta Die Fledermaus did this in Vienna in the 1870s; Jerome Kern's Show Boat did it for Broadway musicals of the 1920s; and the Beatles' Sgt.
