My head nearly exploded when we got the opportunity to meet Bumblebee face to...steering wheel! The video isn't the best because I was trying to soak in as much as I could without worrying about the video. I am in LOVE! My sister and I were joking a few days earlier about sitting our butts in his seat and licking the steering wheel, but we never thought we would actually get to do it! Well, ok, so I didn't lick the steering wheel...I figured Joey wouldn't appreciate that,,,but I did pet it :) What an amazing opportunity. Thanks Joey, Steve, and Dave!!!!!

Wynton Marsalis - Flight of the Bumblebee
As controversial as he is popular, Wynton Learson Marsalis is one of the most prominent jazz musicians of the modern era and is also a well-known instrumentalist in classical music. Currently the Musical Director of Jazz at Lincoln Center Wynton Marsalis has received many awards for his musical proficiency. These awards run the gambit of Grammys to a controversial awarding of the Pulitzer Prize for Music for his three and half hour jazz oratorio CD box set Blood on the Fields, the first jazz album to win this award. Born in a musically oriented family in the New Orleans jazz scene at a young age Wynton was exposed to many legendary jazz musicians. Some of these musicians were Al Hirt, who gave Wynton his first trumpet when he was 6 years of age and Danny Barker, a legendary jazz banjoist who lead the Fairview Baptist Church band which Wynton was playing in when he was eight. Wynton was very active musically during high school and was a member in many New Orleans musical organizations such as the NO symphony brass quintet, the NO community concert band, NO youth orchestra, NO symphony and a popular local funk band called the Creators. In 1978 he had a two-year stay at the Juilliard School of Music before joining the Jazz Messengers to study under master drummer and bandleader, Art Blakey. Autobot Bumblebee Hits DC Police SUV at Transformers Filming in DC Fox 5 News WTTG-TV
WASHINGTON - A DC Police SUV was involved in a wreck at the filming of Transformers 3 in Washington DC While the movie was filming a car chase scene on 3rd Street and Maryland Ave in southwest DC, the police SUV collides with a yellow Chevy Camaro, which in the movie series is known as the character Bumblebee. The police SUV was not supposed to be there and the wreck itself was not scripted. The police officer driving the SUV is a veteran bomb technician. He was taken to a local hospital and sustained minor injuries. Sources tell FOX 5 that he was running to a call to 9th and F Street and was apparently using a different radio channel than the police officers who were securing the perimeter for the movie. Statement from the Metropolitan Police Department: "Earlier today, a MPD marked cruiser responding to an emergency assignment, collided with a vehicle involved in the filming of a movie at Third Street and Maryland Avenue, SW. The officer sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital. No civilian injuries have been reported. The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the facts of the crash and filming of this movie on closed DC city streets has been suspended until safety procedures can be reviewed. "

Shine - Flight of the Bumblebee
Fav movie scenes This is one of my all time favourite movie scenes ever. It has actually inspired me as a human and musician. The overall great movie "Shine" with a great Geoffrey Rush in the leading roll, is a masterpiece by all means. In this scene we see the pianist David Helfgott (G Rush) trying hard to fight his mental illness, which sadly has been worse due to his piano playing. After some time keeping himself from playing he can't resist anymore and sits down by the first best piano he can find. There are many reasons why I love this scene. I love how he liberates himself by playing and how he goes from being a depressed and sad man to someone who loves life through his music. Be inspired!
Bumble Bee Nails
Here is a Bumble Bee nail tutorial for you guys =) I had no idea that you guys enjoyed nail tutorials so much. I wanted to do a Spring inspired nail design and my boyfriend mentioned Bumble Bees which I thought would be awesome idea. This design is nice & airy. Cute & Fresh. Pastel shades are huge for Spring/Summer. You can always choose a pink, green or yellow background if you wish. When I posted this as a twitpic, a viewer questioned whether I was taking credit for another girl's idea. I had no idea what she was talking about and she linked me to a blog post of a girl's nail design which did look similar. I promise you guys I had no idea that somebody already did something similar and it was pure coincidence. I've always drawn bees like this ever since I was a little girl (maybe from watching Winnie the Pooh? Not sure). The girl did an awesome job too but let's just agree that great minds think alike? All it takes is plenty of patience and practice. Like I always say, try to practise on a friend and vice versa. If this is too much for you- why not just try pastel shades on your nails? Sometimes simplicity looks best ^_~. A killer colour is all you need for your nails to stand out. To everybody asking about the contest- Deadline is 17th March (midnight so really 18th). It will take me a while to watch all entries again. Please be patient because I just don't want to be rushed watching your entries. I know you guys put a lot of work into it.
