Amazing WORK ! 1) Always scratch the sides of the bottle to create better grip to the sealant. The top part where the bottle meets the metal is the leak point in the build so use industrial strength sealant (epoxy or DOW Corning 791) on the top and bottom if possible. 2) Always put a protective cover over the bottle cap as the suns rays tend to make the original bottle cap brittle and a crack in the bottle cap will allow the water in the bottle to leak during evaporation. 3) Always RIVET the metal sheet holder on to the roof. 4) DON't USE THIN METAL ROOFING SHEETS. there will be no bite on the plastic bottle and the different expansion rates will cause leaks later on. Go for thicker roof sheet.

Yes, your typical incandescent nite-light bulb can function as an X-ray tube if you put a high enough voltage up to it! This is a crude demonstration of how to use it as such. I got these bulbs from a special lighting store in the area for around 25 cents each (but are sold for a bit more money pretty much anyplace that sells light bulbs), although the high-voltage oudin/tesla coil device I use costs considerably more. I'm running it at it's maximum 50000 V in the demonstration. The metal box protects the Gamma Scout from the EMF fields that would otherwise cause it to go haywire, but it also filters out a large percentage of the bulb's emissions. Trying to measure the true strength of an X-ray device is difficult without film, which I don't have at my disposal right now! Remember, X-rays are dangerous!! Soft X-rays can cause radiation burns simular to Ultraviolet sunburns, except several layers into the skin deeper than UV can, while hard X-rays can penetrate through to your organs just like Gamma Radiation can!

Jake and I decided to do a little video demoing some sounds and old/new Periphery riffs on an AxeFx Ultra going through this awesome new tube poweramp made by Atomic. We were getting such sweet sounds with this setup that we are all going to be switching to AxeFx for our live rigs! The MB-50 a very compact 50 watt mono poweramp that runs on a pair of 6L6 tubes, and it weighs only 15 lbs!! Jake and I are both using our brand new Ibanez RGA420z guitars with a Dimarzio Crunchlab/Liquifire set of pickups, both tuned to CGCFAD and strung up with 10-56 gauge SIT strings.
