"Black Hearts"
The region around Kandahar city in Afghanistan is the Taliban's birthplace and breeding ground. That makes it a key location in the US military's security efforts. But "securing" a region in which you can hardly distinguish friend from foe is far easier said than done. NPR staff photographer David Gilkey just returned from the region, where he spent time with the 101st Airborne Division. Their mission is two-fold: chase out the Taliban and win the trust of locals — if they can.

Joan Jett and the Blackhearts-Bad Reputation
This performance comes from the TV show Boston: Live! which was on Boston station WQTV (channel 68) for a few years in the early 80's. They showcased mostly local but a few national acts. Most acts performed four or five songs which were aired one a day during the week (if I remember correctly, the show was on from 6 to 7 PM weeknights). Unfortunately, this is the only song I have by Jett from this show, so it may have been a one off performance.

Using the 8mm vintage camera app on all 10 phones we were able to create a highly stylised and creative video for just over £10!
