My mother purchased a Kirby G4 Vacuum Cleaner when I was 10 years old from a door to door salesman. I immediately fell in love with the Kirby from this point forward. In fact, I promised my mother that if she bought the Kirby, I woud vacuum every day of the week! Well that lasted for maybe a month. She would always have problems changing the belt on her G4 when she vacuumed up a pair of my socks under my bed, or a toy that I left out, and she could never seem to get the belt changed properly. Well I took it upon myself to learn how to replace the belt for her, and she would always come to me when the belt broke, asking me how to replace it. Well a few years ago she moved far away from me and could no longer ask me to change her Kirby belt. I figured that I would just go ahead and record a video showing step by step how to replace the belt on a Kirby Generation Vacuum Cleaner, so she could follow step by step the proper way to do it. This is not a difficult repair, but you have to follow an exact set of steps to ensure the belt catches over the pulley. This tutorial shows you how to make a belt. We cut a piece of leather with a draw gauge, showing you how to use it and then we punch holes and showing you how to attach a buckle with rivets. The leather we picked should be dyed before you attach the belt or you could just leave it natural and it will darken with light. Parachute cord (also paracord or 550 cord) is a lightweight nylon kernmantle rope originally used in the suspension lines of US parachutes during World War II. Once in the field, paratroopers found this cord useful for many other tasks. It is now used as a general purpose utility cord by both military personnel and civilians. The braided sheath has a high number of interwoven strands for its size, giving it a relatively smooth texture. Many changes have been made from the last posting! I'm sorry I had to cut down MHWGO at the end. If there was enough time, I'd love to end with her saying goodbye and all (as it was in the previous video). However, with a 10:59 time limit, I can't afford to spend 1 1/2 minutes just for two high notes. BTW, the high notes on MHWGO Paris were enhanced for the DVD, however they were not enhanced for the TV special. I have taken the audio from the TV special and put it over the video for the DVD. Even when they weren't enhanced, they were still the best she has ever hit those notes! Also, because MHWGO no longer takes up 1 1/2 minutes and because there isn't 20 seconds of crowd applausing and her saying good night, I am not longer 100% sure if MHWGO is the best performance to end this video. Is there a better choice? If so, I can change it for the next version. Anyway, I have added quite a bit of performances and have about 50 more seconds left until I exceed the limit. If you have any ideas of what to add (or replace one performance of a song with an even better performance), please share. I plan to include (from the TC Tour): River Deep Mountain High, It's A Man's World, Alone [High Notes], Fade Away, and possibly My Love.
