Eine kleine Beatlemusic ~ The Barock and Roll Ensemble
This is a medley of Early Beatles hits ( inc. She loves you, I want to hold your hand, Hard days night, and others) played in a classical style by The Barock and Roll Ensemble, it is in three movements, Allegro, Minuet & Trio-finale and was released back in 1965. EMI and Northern Songs commisioned Liverpool musician Fritz Speigl to come up with classical sounding interpretations of the Beatles music, which he called Eine Kleine Beatlemusic, which was obviously a take on Mozart's Eine kleine nachtmusik. Although seen as a spoof, it opened up a whole new field of Beatles music performed in the concert music style. This recording is from EMI's Just for laughs compilation album from the early 70's

The recording session took place on 11th February 1963, from 10am-1pm, in EMI Studio 2. Take 1 is the take that was actually released, in both mono and stereo.
