An American Werewolf In London Music Video (Bad Moon Rising)

'An American Werewolf In London' (1981) is a horror film written and directed by John Landis. It is regarded as a cult classic and won an Academy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Make-Up. It was Rick Baker who created the FX and the make-up and the result is still as chilling as it was years ago. The most striking thing about this movie is the perfect balance between horror and humor. The story begins when two Americans arrive at an English pub called 'The Slaughtered Lamb'. As David and Jack leave the pub they are told to stay on the road. Of course they don't and soon they are attacked by a wolf-like creature. And from there it only gets worse for the duo. The song that I used for this video is my favourite from the movie. It's called 'Bad Moon Rising' by Creedence Clearwater Revival. The music that you'll hear during the credits is 'Blue Moon' by The Marcels. See you next Wednesday! 'An American Werewolf In London' and its music belongs to Universal Pictures.

American Werewolf In London (1981) - Hagfilms Honest Reviews

An American Werewolf In London Up until the American Werewolf, director John Landis had only really established himself as a comedy director, with Animal House and The Blues Brothers under his belt. In American Werewolf, he proved that he can make a good horror too, a damn fine horror, with the laughs in no way detracting from the terror. The opening scenes of American Werewolf in London where Griffin Dunne is slaughtered on the moores, is powerful viewing. Perhaps its because the scene is completely dark, the werewolf barely seen, the power of suggestion once again proven to be a remarkable cinematic tool. That and the terrifying howl of the unseen beast. David Naughton plays David Kesslar, an American backpacker making his way through Europe, and survivor of an attack by what he believes to be a vicious dog in the Mooreland surrounding the creepy village of Procter. The scenes with the bizarre and cagey locals at the Slaughtered Lamb are as memorable for their peculiar awkwardness as the magnificent horror scenes. Amongst the locals is the veteran British actor, Brian Glover, and young funny man Rik Mayall. Whilst recovering in hospital David begins to have hideous and violent dreams, of himself as a beast, as well as nightmarish storm troopers invading his home, with particular good use of the dream within a dream. Also he recieves visits from his dead friend Jack (Griffin Dunne) who killed by the beast remains one of the living dead until the curse of the werewolf is ...

An American Werewolf in London ( FILMING LOCATION video) 1981 John Landis

FOLLOW ME ON FACEBOOK www.facebook.com An American Werewolf in London is a 1981 British-American horror comedy film, written and directed by John Landis. It stars David Naughton, Griffin Dunne, and Jenny Agutter. It was released in the United States on August 21, 1981 and grossed $30.56 million at the box office. Critics generated mostly favourable reviews for the film. The movie won the 1981 Saturn Award for Best Horror Film and an Academy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Makeup. The film was one of three high-profile wolf-themed horror films released in 1981, alongside The Howling and Wolfen. The opening shots of the moors are near Hay Bluff, a mountain that straddles the Welsh border in Brecon Beacons National Park. The scenes were shot on the Welsh side of Hay Bluff, about four miles to the south of the town of Hay-on-Wye in the county of Powys. The scene where David and Jack get dropped off by the sheep farmer is by the stone circle, the same location where, later in the film, Dr. Hirsch stops and looks at the sign for East Proctor. The same road provides the scenery for the next two shots, where David and Jack talk about Debbie Klein. East Proctor is a small hamlet ten miles to the west of Hay Bluff called Crickadarn. It is featured from the shot where David and Jack walk down a hill towards East Proctor. The exterior of the "Slaughtered Lamb" was a private house in Crickadarn dressed to look like a pub and the Angel of Death statue in the village was a prop ...

Two American college students, David and Jack ( played by RICHIE and DANE CROSS) are backpacking across Europe when they are savagely attacked by a werewolf. David wakes up in a London hospital to be told he has been in a coma for three weeks and his friend Jack was killed. His penis also has maintained a permanent erection since the attack. Soon David starts experiencing horrible dreams, and his dead friend comes to warn him that he will turn into a werewolf. A kind English nurse (LEXI WARD) takes the distraught young man to her flat. Soon David discovers the curse is real and goes on a rampage through the streets of London as a bloodthirsty werewolf.
