Virus TI and XS8 unite! Here's another improvised short song adventure demoing some sounds I've created using the Virus with the XS8 keeping it company. Both keyboards can control each other via MIDI, so the XS8 sequencer can send up to 16 channels of data to the Virus in sequencer mode. Soundwise, the Motif has been a favorite at Gearwire as far as the large keyboard workstations go. Well, now Yamaha has beefed up the line with the new XS series. What have they added? Probably the most notable newe feature is the expansion of sample banks. The new piano has 8 sample elements which doubles that of previous versions. Also, they have added multiple articulations to their patches, a lot like the TYROS series. Check out the video for demos of these cool new features.

I enjoy the animals in our garden. And so does my Minimini, one of our cats :-). I hope you enjoy the collage of different birds and cats. Little blackbirds were fed in front of our window. And also my Ukkie is in the video. He mostly is the last one who comes to eat (again), sometimes it is clear daylight. So I think he still lives close to our house, where he grew up!
