Cold Steel Roach Belly: Featherweight Slasher
For around $12 you can get a super light, excellent defensive blade in the Cold Steel Roach Belly. Yes the steel is just 4116 Krupp but its razor sharp, finish is nice and bright (great for a sheepdog defensive knife), its fast in hand, wicked sharp, and is forgetfully light in carry. It weighs out, with sheath, at an incredible 3.5 oz. Thats because CS wisely choice to keep the blade thin (but adequately thick at 2.5mm) and put on a super light handle. The spine has some purposeful jimping as well. The blade shape is deadly with excellent draw cut and piercing capability. Downsides are the slick handle that is a little short (especially for extraction from the sheath) and the non-QD sheath that leans more towards utility than tactical use. But the sheath is also lightweight and wont retain water. Even as a EDC FIXED BLADE choice, Roach Belly should excel. And theres no brand myopia here at all (another Nutnfancy term): its just Cold Steel happens to be the one producing these well-made, high value knives that provide such great versatility. I dont see any other 2.6 oz SS well-designed slashers out there at $12. So if the budgets tight and you want a fixed blade with decent reach (4.5, good for the weight) consider this featherweight knife. The CS RB wont bust the budget or your loadout weight; nor will it impress your friends. But at 3.5 oz total weight its an easy proposition to always have with you, quietly awaiting defensive duty that hopefully will never come. I have <b>...</b>

Hello Horror Fans! *No Copyright Infringement Intended - Fair Usage Act* Another vid request, This time from MyFairMunster www.youtube.com & co-suggested by :) DarkBreed85 www.youtube.com This video is My top 10 Slasher films. Again, very hard to choose. Some like Slumber Party Massacre & House on Sorority Row only narrowly missed out being on the list. What I'll be doing in this video is showing you my top 10 picks, and then some other slashers I really enjoy too. Oh, and this video totalled nearly 25 minutes, so I've had to edit it right down. As a result, some of the titles from the end had to be omitted. For people wondering why Friday the 13th isn't on the list - I thought about adding it, but decided that there are better examples of great slashers. Also when I compared it other films, it was derivative of some earlier releases (Black Christmas, Halloween for example), and those that were released around the same time (Sleepaway Camp, The Burning) I liked a lot more. Hope that helps explain. Also, been getting comments about Nightmare on Elm Street - I didn't included it because I didn't feel comfortable calling it a slasher film. Another Youtube user put it well, it's a supernatural slasher, like Child's Play. I didn't want to include fringe slashers because if you make one exception, you have to make them all. Written and directed by David A. Prior, who some of you may know from absolutely nothing else of value, Killer Workout is at first glance another in the long line of cheap eighties slasher cash-ins, with no redeeming artistic value. And while you'd be right, anyone actually looking for artistic value in a film called Killer Workout would probably never watch it in the first place. The plot concerns one Rhonda Johnson. Rhonda is the often bitchy, sexy in that severe Jennifer Gray kind of way, owner of a gym creatively called Rhonda's Workout. As you might have guessed, Rhonda begins to have some serious economic issues when the prerequisite unknown killer begins bumping off her clientele. As if that wasn't bad enough, she also has to contend with Jimmy Hallik, a creepy juicehead who hits on her non-stop and with all the subtlety of any man paranoid about his shriveled balls. Then, of course, there's the stereotypical police detective Lt. Morgan, who deserves a lifetime achievement award for most ineffectual cop ever. Throw in a gaggle of scantily clad aerobics girls and enough homoerotic men to make even George Michael blush, and you've got a recipe for eighties cheese greatness.
