This massive UFO was captured on NASA SOHO images on May, 3rd 2012. Since then NASA SOHO appears to have gone offline. No other images have been made available on their website for any of the days past May 3rd to date. Several days ago I made a video documenting the activity for most of the day on May 3, 2012 that video can be seen on my channel. These images have been obtained by NASA SOHO and have not been altered in any way. Below is a link to the image in the helioviewer itself. It's last image caught on the third before SOHO went offline. The date shows as the 11th but that's only because the helioviewer will always show the last image taken as the most current image. It will show the same image no matter how much you go forward in time and if you go back in time it will show that image until the 3rd of May 2012 when it first appeared. A comet discovered on Friday September 30, 2011 by an amateur astronomer disintegrated on Saturday October 1, 2011 when it plunged into the Sun. The Corongraph of NASA/ESA's SOHO captured the last few hours of the comet. Very shortly after the comet dove into the Sun a Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) exploded. As of current solar scientists do not believe that a comet can trigger a Coronal Mass Ejection - however, the question of if a comet could cause a magnetic instability on the Sun remains and is being studied. On July 6, 2011 the Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) observed a sungrazing comet and it appeared to interact with the plasma and magnetic field as it fell apart. The first two segments in this video are from October 1, 2011 and were observed by NASA/ESA's SOHO spacecraft. The last two segments were captured by NASA's SDO on July 5, 2011. Watching what is going on around the sun lately is amazing. There seem to be hundreds even thousands of UFO's travelling to and from it. Some vary in size and shape, some are very similar to each other being almost identical and some are huge, massive in size. What has caused this recent activity? Is there a certain part of space that opens up cyclically allowing for travel through our solar system? 2012 ? Something else? Every day we are seeing countless UFO's traveling around the sun. On January 23, 2012 at about 04:00 UTC, the Sun unleashed a powerful flare and coronal mass ejection - huge explosions that drive hundreds of millions of tons of subatomic particles at fantastic speeds. The first wave of particles reached Earth in minutes, slamming into the instruments on board NASA's SOHO Sun-observing satellite. Most CMEs are aimed off to the side, but the expanding halo of light is a sure sign it was headed right for us... and the proof is the big blast of particle hits to the detector. We are in no real danger from this event, but it will most likely spark aurorae all over the northern and southern latitudes of Earth.

Recently NASA Soho images have captured images of massive UFO's by the sun. There are hundreds if not thousands of these images. This video offers a visual comparison of the International Space Station we have out in space and one of the many UFO's captured on NASA SOHO images by the sun. The Sun is much larger than Earth and has a diameter of about 1392000 km, about 109 times that of Earth, and its mass is 330000 times that of Earth. Something to keep in mind as far as perspective when doing a visual comparison.

Innumerable UFO's have been captured on NASA SOHO images by the Sun. They are massive in size and appear to be there almost daily. They seem impervious to the tremendous heat and forces of the Sun. This video looks at several of those UFO's and does a visual comparison with some of the spacecraft we have out in space. The Sun is much larger than Earth and has a diameter of about 1392000 km, about 109 times that of Earth, and its mass is 330000 times that of Earth. Something to keep in mind as far as perspective when doing a visual comparison.These UFO's raise many questions. What are they? Where are they coming from? What are they doing? What impact will they, or their activities by the Sun have on the Earth and on humanity? If nothing else they should be observed and documented carefully. An X1.7 flare (X represents the largest category) and a coronal mass ejection (CME) erupted from the Sun (January 27-28, 2012) from the same active region that produced a smaller but Earth-directed storm a few days earlier. This resulting solar storm was not squarely Earth-directed, but the clouds of high-energy protons that it emitted continued to hit the SOHO spacecraft detectors for over a day and did generate a minor radiation storm on Earth. A bright comet headed right towards the Sun and disintegrated (Oct. 1, 2011) as observed by STEREO's suite of coronagraphs. It was a sungrazing comet of the type known as a Kreutz sungrazer and a particularly bright one at that. Most sungrazing comets have orbits that take them very close to the Sun without actually quite hitting it. However, getting so close almost always destroys these comets, so we see them going in, but not going back out. It appears that the coronal mass ejection seen blasting out into space began before the comet went behind the occulting disk in the COR1 images. The video also shows how the LASCO instrument on NASA/ESA's SOHO spacecraft observed the sungrazing comet. The object passing in the upper left corner is Planet Mercury. The very last segment is from NASA SDO and shows a comet on July 5, 2011. The question of whether a sungrazing comet can somehow trigger a coronal mass ejection is an intriguing one. So far, the feeling is that apparent relationship between some comets and some mass ejections is simply one of co-incidence. At this stage of the solar cycle, the Sun is producing many mass ejections--in fact there were several earlier in the day--and it probably just happened by chance that one of them was around the same time as the approach of the comet. Some researchers have been looking for a more direct relationship, but nothing as yet has come out of these efforts.

www.thesuntoday.org - On April 19, 2012 an active region on the East (Left side) limb of the Sun produced an eruption, M1.7 Flare and CME. The eruption began around 17 UT with an M1.7 X-ray flare peaking shortly after that. The CME was first observed by SOHO C2 at 18:10 UT. The video first shows the eruption in the 304, 171, 193, 211, 335 and 131 Angstrom wavelength SDO/AIA channels. These wavelengths provide a view of solar plasma at temperatures from ~60000 to 15 million Kelvin. The event is then shown from farther around the left limb of the Sun using the EUVI 195 Angstrom camera from the STEREO Behind spacecraft. The CME is shown with the SOHO/LASCO C2 coronagraph in a composite image with SDO 304. The CME speed was measured by the NASA Space Weather Center (SWC) at 1250 km/s giving it a SCORE rating of O for Occasional. The CME was not Earth directed. The NASA SWC CME computer model predicted impact with Spitzer, STEREO B and Mars Science Lab (MSL) at 2012-04-18 15:23 UT, 2012-04-19 05:00 UT, and 2012-04-19 13:12 UT respectively (+- 7 hours). SOHO watched as a fairly bright comet dove towards the Sun in a white streak and was not seen again after its close encounter (May 10-11, 2011). The comet, probably part of the Kreutz family of comets, was discovered by amateur astronomer Sergey Shurpakov. In this coronagraph the Sun (represented by a white circle) is blocked by the red occulting disk so that the faint structures in the Sun's corona can be discerned. Interestingly, a coronal mass ejection blasted out to the right just as the comet is approaching the Sun. Now the question is - did the comet trigger the CME? Scientists, however, have yet to find a convincing physical connection between sun-grazing comets and coronal mass ejections. In fact, analysis of this CME using images from the Solar Dynamics Observatory shows that the CME erupted before the comet came close enough to the solar surface to interact with strong magnetic fields. Live Footage!!...This object in the yellow circle is like a gyroscope while all along staying in one spot. It reflects like a triangle would if being flipped holding it's position...That to me people, is a UFO! Aliens, I don't know..Old Peaceful Humans, I'd like to think!!! Either way it's a stationary object with gyroscope motion near our sun. I'd Like to know what it is...any suggestions?

In an event reminiscent of some of the Discovery Channel Mythbusters' most spectacular explosions, the Sun on June 7, 2011, starting at about 06:41 UT unleashed one of the most spectacular prominence eruptions ever observed, in fact, one could call it a "prominence explosion". But this explosion was larger by far than any rigged by Mythbusters: the prominence material expanded to a volume some 75 times as big across as the earth! SDO's Atmospheric Imaging Assembly recorded the amazing event in stunning detail, and SOHO's LASCO coronagraph and STEREO's SECCHI instrument suite observed the prominence and associated CME as they traveled out into the heliosphere. Using LASCO and SECCHI data, the speed of the leading edge of the CME was estimated to be in the range 1200 - 1600 km/s. Model calculations predict that Earth will receive a glancing blow of the CME on June 10, possibly sparking some nice aurorae at high latitudes. The event originated from the almost spotless active region 11226 and was associated with a moderate M2-class X-ray flare. The CME and associated shock wave produced and S1-class radiation storm, which shows up as speckles in the LASCO movies. This event is not only one of the most spectacular ever recorded, but also one of the best observed, with complementary data from several spacecraft and different vantage points (SDO, SOHO, STEREO). NASA SDO captured this event and thanks to ESA/NASA SOHO and NASA STEREO Behind spacecrafts, we have also learned of a very quick moving Coronal Mass Ejection. The CME is traveling at approx. 2200 km per second and the Goddard Space Weather Lab predicts the arrival of this CME on earth to be January 24, 2012 at approx. 14:18 UT (+/- 7 hours). It also shows that Mars will get hit too, several hours after Earth. These kinds of events can cause problems for spacecrafts in geosynchronous, polar and other orbits passing could be affected by the cloud's arrival. A strange object flying close to the sun looks unnervingly like a huge, metallic 'mothership' familiar from Hollywood blockbusters. The picture was released by NASA's sun-watching Solar and Heliospheric Observatory, known as SOHO - and has become an immediate cult hit on the internet. UFO fan site Gather News said: 'An unusually shaped, gigantic UFO was spotted on the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) and posted in a video on YouTube. 'The unidentified flying object, which bears no resemblance to anything ever spotted near the Sun, somehow manages to withstand the blazing heat thrown off by solar flare activity and the incredibly high temperatures emanating from nuclear fusion generated on the surface of the star. What is it?' asked the site. UFO fans on YouTube have been highly enthusiastic about the object, with many claiming it as a definite 'spot'. SOHO, the Solar & Heliospheric Observatory, is a satellite built to study the Sun from its deep core to the outer corona and the solar wind. SOHO was launched on December 2, 1995. The twelve instruments on board SOHO communicate with large radio dishes around the world which form NASA's Deep Space Network are used for data downlink and commanding. 'The video shows what looks like a metallic, jointed spaceship with a gigantic extension, perhaps a boom arm, anchored off its lower end. Comet SWAN was discovered a few days ago, and was found to be a Sun grazer, on an orbit that takes it perilously close to the Sun.
