Madame's Place is an American sitcom that featured the misadventures of Madame, a puppet in the form of a bawdy old movie star with a naughty sense of humor. Madame's Place aired for one first-run season from September 20, 1982 until February 25, 1983, although the actual number of episodes produced is disputed (some references say 75, some say 150). The show was unusual for a sitcom in that it was produced for first-run syndication to air five days a week. The series centers around the puppet Madame, who was a huge hit with audiences in the 1970s and 1980s with American puppeteer Wayland Flowers as her creator. Madame is an "outrageous old broad" who entertains with double entendres and witty comebacks. Bedecked in fabulous eveningwear and summer diamonds ("Some are diamonds; some are not"), Madame's look is based on movie stars such as Gloria Swanson. Madame lived in a plush mansion with her butler, ex-boxer Pinkerton (Johnny Haymer); they interacted with nerdy day planner Bernadette (Susan Tolsky), Madame's beautiful, IQ-challenged, southern-belle niece Sara Joy (Judy Landers), and nosy kid neighbor Buzzy (Corey Feldman). Madame's Place covered all of the bases from an abandoned baby on the doorstep to an outrageous fortune teller (played by guest star Edie McClurg) peddling her theories. Within the series, Madame had a talk show featuring guests including Debbie Reynolds, Foster Brooks, and William Shatner.

Some of My Best Friends is a short-lived sitcom shown on CBS from February 28 until April 11, 2001. The series was inspired by the film Kiss Me, Guido. Some of My Best Friends starred Jason Bateman as Warren, a gay writer living in Greenwich Village, and Danny Nucci as Frankie, his straight (and at first homophobic) roommate. Alec Mapa played Vern, Warren's flamboyant best friend, who lived upstairs from Warren and usually entered Warren's apartment by coming down the fire escape and through a window. Michael DeLuise portrayed Pino, Frankie's dimwitted best friend. Jessica Lundy appeared as Meryl, Warren's sister and the manager of the apartment building. Also seen on a recurring basis were Frankie's parents, Italian restauranteurs Connie (Camille Saviola) and Joe (Joe Grifasi).

Wild Palms is a six-hour mini-series, which first aired in May 1993 on the ABC network in the United States. Written by Bruce Wagner, who (with Oliver Stone) was also the executive producer, Wild Palms was a sci-fi drama about the dangers of brainwashing through technology and drugs. It was based on a comic strip written by Wagner and illustrated by Julian Allen first published in 1990 in Details magazine. The mini-series starred James Belushi, Dana Delany, Robert Loggia, and Angie Dickinson. The episodes were directed by four people known more for their feature films: Kathryn Bigelow, Keith Gordon, Peter Hewitt, and Phil Joanou.

Jem, also called Jem and the Holograms, is an American animated television series that ran from 1985 to 1988 in US first-run syndication. The show is about music company owner Jerrica Benton, her singer alter-ego Jem, her band the Holograms, and their adventures. The series was a joint collaboration by Hasbro, Marvel Productions and Sunbow Productions, the same team responsible for GI Joe and Transformers. The creator of the series was Christy Marx, who also had been a staff writer for the aforementioned programs. The animation was provided by the Japanese animation studio Toei Doga (now Toei Animation).

The Kingdom (Danish title: Riget) is an eight-episode Danish television mini-series, created by Lars von Trier in 1994, and co-directed by Lars von Trier and Morten Arnfred. The series is set in the neurosurgical ward of Copenhagen's Rigshospitalet, the city and country's main hospital, nicknamed "Riget". "Riget" means "the realm" or "the kingdom" and leads one to think of "dødsriget", the realm of the dead. The show follows a number of characters, both staff and patients, as they encounter bizarre phenomena, both human and supernatural. The show is notable for its wry humor, its muted sepia colour scheme.

Over the Top is a short-lived American sitcom starring Tim Curry, Annie Potts and Steve Carell. The series premiered on ABC on October 21, 1997. Although 12 episodes were produced, the series was canceled after only three episodes had aired. After being fired from the soap opera Days to Remember, down on his luck, eccentric, self-centered actor Simon Ferguson (Tim Curry) moves into Manhattan's Metropolitan Hotel, which is run by ex-wife Hadley Martin (Annie Potts), whom he was married to 20 years prior... for twelve days. Despite her initial exasperation with her ex, Hadley again succumbs to the "Ferguson charm," as do all of those around her. Simon reluctantly plays role model to Hadley's children from a different marriage: precocious seven-and-a-half year-old Daniel (Luke Tarsitano) and angst-ridden teen Gwen (Marla Sokoloff). The hotel's psychotic Greek chef, Yorgo Galfanikos (Steve Carell), also looks up to Simon, having been a fan of his soap opera and films. Also seen are Rose (Liz Torres), the hotel's assistant manager, Robert McSwain (John O'Hurley), the hotel's main investor, Tommy Sutton (Devin Neil Oatway), a popular jock Gwen fawns over, and Jesse (Danny Strong), a geek who is smitten with Gwen. Episodes mostly centered around Simon's outlandish shenanigans and attempts to break back into show business.

Cliffhangers was an American television series that debuted on February 27, 1979 on NBC. Cliffhangers attempted to revive the genre of movie serials in a made-for-TV format. The fated Omega and Shinryu battles. Note that you HAVE to beat Shinryu in order to get a 100% Treasure rating, HOWEVER......Shinryu is your best bet of getting 99 Dragon Beard's quickly, since you can run away from him. Also note that these 2 CAN be beaten at a much lower level than I am for certain (I've beaten them around Level 50), BUT that's by using cheap tactics. As you can tell, Shinryu is nowhere NEAR as difficult as Omega is......though there are those that have beaten Omega in a rather bizarre and challenging ways ^^;

Style & Substance was a television situation comedy that premiered on CBS July 22, 1998. The show starred Jean Smart as Chelsea Stevens, a Martha Stewart-like star of a how-to home show, and Nancy McKeon as her producer, Jane Sokol, a small-town girl new to New York City. Chelsea Stevens was an expert cook, decorator, and party planner who knew much more about thread-count than she did relationships. She was well-meaning at times, but her narcissism usually got in the way of actually understanding anyone else's problems. Jean Smart's official website describes Stevens as a "neurotic control freak" and a "one-woman cooking, decorating, and entertaining machine who thinks every crisis can be solved by a decorative centerpiece". It was rumored that Martha Stewart had complained to CBS about the similarities between her and the Chelsea Stevens character, even though on more than one episode Chelsea was referred to as Stewart's rival. Whether Stewart's complaint was true or not, the network cancelled the show after airing only a handful of episodes. CBS tried another show similar in content in 1998. This show, "The Simple Life", starring Judith Light as a lifestyle expert did not fare any better.

In Search of... is a documentary television series that was broadcast weekly from 1976 to 1982. It was created after two successful one-hour TV documentaries, In Search of Ancient Astronauts in 1973 (based on the book Chariots of the Gods), and In Search of Ancient Mysteries in 1975, both with narration by Rod Serling who was the initial choice to host the series. After the death of Serling, Leonard Nimoy was chosen to be the host of the spin-off series. The series conducted investigations into the controversial and paranormal (eg, UFOs, Bigfoot, and the Loch Ness Monster). Liquid Television is an Emmy Award winning 1990s animation showcase that appeared on MTV. The first season of Liquid Television also aired on BBC Two in co-production with MTV. Ultimately, MTV commissioned three seasons of the show, which was produced by Colossal Pictures. It has served as the launching point for several high-profile original cartoons, including Beavis and Butt-head, Æon Flux, Cartoon Sushi, and The Head. The bulk of Liquid Television's material was created by independent animators and artists specially for the show, and some previously produced segments were compiled from festivals such as Spike and Mike's Sick and Twisted Festival of Animation. Mark Mothersbaugh composed the show's theme music. It was broadcast in New Zealand on TV3 and in Australia on SBS. There were also a large number of animation pieces adapted from the work of Art Spiegelman's comic compilation, RAW. RAW featured underground cartoonists such as Mark Beyer, Richard Sala, and Peter Bagge. In particular, Dog-Boy by Charles Burns was based on the artist's series from RAW Selected segments from the series, including the first appearances of Æon Flux, were released on two VHS tapes in the late 1990s as The Best of Liquid Television parts one and two. These tapes are long out-of-print . A collection volume, titled Wet Shorts (The Best of Liquid Television), comprising the two VHS tapes, was available on DVD but this too is out-of-print.
