"I forgot this song existed until I found it on a CD in a box in my closet this year. This song and 'Slip' were done in sessions leading up to the recording of Hybrid Theory. We eventually abandoned the song, but decided that there was something special about the vocal at the end of the song. This song has recently been discovered. It was was recorded in 1999 when the band was making Hybrid Theory. It was their softest song recorded at the time and didn't make the album. A CD 8 demos from Hybrid Theory appeared on eBay and was purchased by the staff at the Linkin Park Live (LPLive) fansite for over $1000. The entire CD can be downloaded at lplive.net. For those of you who didn't know, 'Hybrid Theory' was actually Linkin Park's erstwhile name. I think they were forced to change it to avoid a 'collision' with a band named 'Hybrid'. The bassist\celloist\fiddler David Michael "Phoenix" Farrell I think wasn't present on the making of this track since he went away for a while to tour with the band 'The Snax', where he's originally at, and Kyle Christener took over the bass temporarily, yet he's not that known and I can't find any photos of him, so I opted to put Phoenix's instead. Phoenix is the original bassist even before the band was named 'Hybrid Theory' (they were 'Xero' way back then). I don't own anything you see on the vid. I just wanted to recognize the band's brilliance.

In 1999, a band named Hybrid Theory (known today as Linkin Park) made a demo CD featuring early versions of songs that were released on their debut album, titled "Hybrid Theory". There are 8 tracks on this rare CD (There is rumored to be only one in existence) but what really stands out is that there is a song that was previously unheard, titled "She Couldn't".
