So far i see no impact on my MPG. Throttle reactivity is way faster, the rev jumps faster at high rpm while shifting. Sound in tunnel is Ferrari-like. As the first available sport hybrid, the CR-Z demonstrates new opportunities for vehicle personalization among the import tuner community. Several significant vehicles are being unveiled at the show, including a 2011 CR-Z equipped with MUGEN* accessories, the Honda Performance Development, Inc. (HPD) CR-Z Hybrid R Concept, the HPD CR-Z Racer and several vehicles equipped with Honda Genuine Accessories. A 2011 CR-Z equipped with MUGEN accessories was also being revealed, and Honda announced that in the spring of 2011, it will begin sales of a limited-edition MUGEN accessory kit for the vehicle. 2011 Honda CR-Z The CR-Z has a 1.5L 4 Cyl making 122 HP. It's assisted with an electric motor & the gearbox here is a CVT. Sorry but midway thru this video, the battery to my HD Cam died so I had to use my iPod Nano. The CVT here can simulate 7 gear ratios which can be done using the paddle shifters on the steering wheel. But IMO, better off getting the 6 Speed manual version as it will be fun to drive & will feel more natural. Honestly, this is the only Hybrid car I wouldn't mind to own simply because Honda tried to deliver a sporty coupe with a fun factor to it. The manual gearbox which is something non of the other hybrids out there offer, & it's $19K price which isn't too bad. I do wish it were a 4 seater as theres room for it & I would've liked to see some better materials used here & there. But how could I forget, I want an armrest!!!!

A new concept from Honda. -Info- Mugen of Japan has built a Honda CR-Z Mugen RR design concept to demonstrate Mugen's capabilities in terms of function, style, performance and agility. The Honda CR-Z Mugen RR was produced by M-TEC in Japan for show purposes only and there are currently no plans for further production. The Honda CR-Z Mugen RR has been created with many bespoke prototype parts, several of which are created in carbon fibre, including the bonnet, passenger doors and rear tailgate. Other features unique to the car include a full length carbon-fibre underbody, a twin central-exit exhaust, vented front bumpers and race-developed suspension. Orange 4-piston monobloc brake calipers and forged 18-inch alloy wheels both complement the vibrant Valencia Orange Pearl exterior paint work. Inside the car, the seats are clad in Mugen-branded colour-coded leather/Alcantara. The addition of a race-developed information screen has the ability to record chassis and engine data as well as housing a Satellite navigation and audio system. This high tech kit will monitor the car over two laps to "learn" a circuit and then record lap data and vehicle tracking using GPS. The design concept was unveiled for its world debut at the beginning of July 2011 in the Moving Motor Show area at Goodwood Festival of Speed and complements the high-performance Honda CR-Z Mugen, which was designed and built by Mugen Euro based in the UK.

This is a test of the launch control (2-step) at 4500 RPMs of the turbocharged Bisimoto 533hp sport hybrid Honda CR-Z, using the wonderful AEM Series 2 EMS. This electronic concept allows for consistent standing starts at the drag strip or road race course, for the very best in traction from rest. The hybrid's integrated motor assist (IMA) also acts as a starter, providing smooth satrs without the archaic starter "clunk".
