Produced by Harrison and former ELO member Jeff Lynne, the song was his third and last solo US number one, after "My Sweet Lord" in 1970 and "Give Me Love (Give Me Peace on Earth)" in 1973. It was also the last number one single, to date, by any of the solo Beatles in the United States. As Harrison's third post-Beatles #1 hit in the US, he broke a three-way tie among himself, John Lennon and Ringo Starr as ex-Beatles with two #1 solo singles, and moved Harrison into second place behind Paul McCartney's nine #1 songs. Of Harrison's three number one singles in the US, it was the only song not written by Harrison and the only one without religious overtones. The single's B-side is "Lay His Head", written by Harrison. The 12" version of the single also adds an extended version of "Got My Mind Set On You". Two music videos were released for the cover version. The first (directed by Gary Weis) starred a young Alexis Denisof vying for the heart of a girl in an arcade.[1] The second (also directed by Weis), is Harrison sitting and playing in a study. As the song progresses, furniture and knick-knacks (like a stuffed squirrel and mounted warthog) begin to dance along with the song. In the middle of the video, Harrison's stunt double performs a stunning backflip from his chair and follows ...

George Harrison performing "Bangladesh" during the concert for Bangladesh at 1971, Madison Square Garden. MAGIC! My friend came to me, with sadness in his eyes He told me that he wanted help Before his country dies Although I couldn't feel the pain, I knew I had to try Now I'm asking all of you To help us save some lives Bangla Desh, Bangla Desh Where so many people are dying fast And it sure looks like a mess I've never seen such distress Now won't you lend your hand and understand Relieve the people of Bangla Desh Bangla Desh, Bangla Desh Such a great disaster - I don't understand But it sure looks like a mess I've never known such distress Now please don't turn away, I want to hear you say Relieve the people of Bangla Desh Relieve Bangla Desh Bangla Desh, Bangla Desh Now it may seem so far from where we all are It's something we can't neglect It's something I can't neglect Now won't you give some bread to get the starving fed We've got to relieve Bangla Desh Relieve the people of Bangla Desh We've got to relieve Bangla Desh Relieve the people of Bangla Desh

Follow along with artistsnetwork.tv favorite, Terry Harrison, while he demonstrates simple exercises for watercolor and oil painting techniques using acrylic paint--you'll learn how to create transparent washes, blend thick opaque color, add mediums to thicken and thin color, incorporate brushstrokes into the composition and more. After each exercise, Terry leads you through an accompanying painting, step by step--follow along as he paints a summer landscape, a peaceful pond, a pretty window scene and a misty tree-lined stream.

Isn't a Pity. Isn't it a pity Now, isn't it a shame How we break each other's hearts And cause each other pain How we take each other's love Without thinking anymore Forgetting to give back Isn't it a pity Some things take so long But how do I explain When not too many people Can see we're all the same And because of all their tears Their eyes can't hope to see The beauty that surrounds them Isn't it a pity Isn't it a pity Isn't is a shame How we break each other's hearts And cause each other pain How we take each other's love Without thinking anymore Forgetting to give back Isn't it a pity Forgetting to give back Isn't it a pity Forgetting to give back Now, isn't it a pity (6 times, fade the 6th:) What a pity What a pity, pity, pity What a pity What a pity, pity, pity

"Any Road" is a song by George Harrison and is the opening track to his posthumous album Brainwashed. It was written in 1988 during the making of a video for his 1987 album Cloud Nine.

Here is my second video. I hope you like it. This time I tried to add more older pictures of George. Enjoy! 3/18/11: I never thought that my simple tribute video for George would have gain over 1 million views! It goes to show how many people care about the late, great George Harrison and his message for the world. Thank you for watching. :) ~ineedyou22

Looked for this video in here and all i could find were low res crap or had some other failures in the picture quality. This videoclip should do better than any of the other ones uploaded here. Enjoy.

This is a music video I made for George Harrison's demo version of the song, "It Don't Come Easy". The song is credited to Ringo, however, he himself claimed on VH1 Storytellers that it was co-written with George. My thoughts are that George at least wrote the majority of it, with suggestions by Ringo (my opinion!). Anyway, this was the first time I made a video that includes footage, but I still used pictures too (mostly at the beginning). Personally, I think I could have done a much better job on this. Thank you all for the views and comments, enjoy! :) Want this song? *cough*Zamzar*cough* I still can't believe how many views this video has received..wow. Peace & Love everyone :D Made with Windows Movie Maker. George Harrison originally performed the song with a solo acoustic guitar and an organ; a demo version, longer than the officially released version, can be heard on the Anthology 3 album and in reworked form on the Love album. Eric Clapton, who was a good friend of George, played lead guitar on the album version of the song with a Gibson Les Paul guitar. On The Concert for Bangladesh, he performed it on a Gibson Super 400 hollowbody guitar, and later acknowledged that a solid-body guitar would have been more appropriate. liryc: I look at you all see the love there that's sleeping While my guitar gently weeps I look at the floor and I see it needs sweeping Still my guitar gently weeps I don't know why nobody told you how to unfold your love I don't know how someone controlled you They bought and sold you. I look at the world and I notice it's turning While my guitar gently weeps With every mistake we must surely be learning Still my guitar gently weeps I don't know how you were diverted You were perverted too I don't know how you were inverted No one alerted you. I look at you all see the love there that's sleeping While my guitar gently weeps Look at you all... Still my guitar gently weeps.

I'm in a rainy day sort or mood, so here's something to cheer everyone up, that and i think it might rain here in a few! "Blow Away" was a 1979 hit single by George Harrison, taken from his eponymous album. The song is one of Harrison's most popular and beloved post-Apple singles, but also one of the simplest. Its uptempo pop sound fell far outside of the dominant genres of the era, disco and punk. "Blow Away", written on a rainy day (that's why first verses are about clouds), was included in Nuns on the Run - a comedy with Eric Idle and Robbie Coltrane. The accompanying video was a simple affair; featuring various shots of George singing the song superimposed over shots of moving clouds and land, and in some instances, singing with full sized toys (a wind-up duck; sitting on a toy dog). There are even a few quick instances of The Quiet Beatle acting silly - breaking into a quick smirk as the camera closes in, and doing a very simple dance step are two of them. As this was early in music videos, the simplistic style wasnt out of the norm; however this received nominal airplay on MTV and was featured more on VH1.
