Fifth album by this Omaha band was released in 2008 on Blank Wave records. Fasciinatiion is a disjointed electro pop album. All the songs have a very 80's Thomas Dolby, synthed out sound. Plenty of effects and vocoders are found here. I was actually quite surprised by how not bad it was. I was expecting a lot worse. Obtuse, broken cerebral lyrics half sung from an over processed voice box works well with the distorted bass lines and energetic guitar and electro drums. There's still some songs on here that feel half baked and feel like they could have been expanded on some more. This album doesn't sound like the laboured, 4 years in the making, self produced it is. It feels like a playful, experimentation prone and slightly rushed album. Just picture a less dark, less polished and professional, hyperactive Depeche Mode. 3/5

If they ever come to your area you HAVE to GO! It's a huge dance party and they sound awesome live, and don't even get me started on the amazing light show Me and my little brother and sister waited after the show and met Todd Fink! I cried i was so overwhelmingly happy haha
