During his CD release last October, John McKnight and his band The Rhythm Yard welcomed Coy Bowles from the Zak Brown Band, to the stage. On stage with John and Coy are Grant Reynolds on guitar and John Schwenke on bass. The audio track here is from the camera, acceptable for the most part, but I had to really boost the lows to help eliminate the barrage of midrange that was hogging all the room, and trying to pull those mids down just wasn't working, as everything started leaving at the same time. So this is what I got, good or bad. Below the quality I should be able to put out but above your sisters cellphone footage....I'm hoping anyway.

My take on Colder Weather by the Zac Brown Band. When I first heard this song performed by my friend JJMartin back in June, I knew I had to give it a try. Whether you like Country or not, musically and lyrically this is a truly excellent piece of songwriting. A little reminiscent of James Taylor as well. Oh, and yes, I know it looks like I'm searching for the lyrics on the ceiling. Apologies for that video gaffe. I haven't been in front of a camera for a while and since the vocal was solid I decided to live with the video. "Colder Weather" is a song by the Zac Brown Band, an American country music group. Lead singer Zac Brown co-wrote the song with Coy Bowles (the band's keyboardist and guitarist), Wyatt Durrette and Levi Lowrey. It is the band's seventh single release overall, and the second single from their 2010 album You Get What You Give. The song hit #1 on the Billboard US Country Songs chart for the week of April 16-23, 2011. It also crossed-over to the Billboard US Hot 100 where it peaked at #29 and to the Canadian Hot 100 where it peaked at #47.
