Zildjian Behind the Scenes - Chris Fryar (Zac Brown Band)

Chris sat down with us to discuss his set-up and what the future holds for the band! Here is a transcript of the video: I got started playing drums. Well this is a subject matter of much objection my mother says that was banging on stuff from when I was a wee tot, I don't remember that. When I first officially started playing drums, when I was 12 year old. Joined the junior high band and originally supposed to play the clarinet. The old black stick of death. And that wasn't working out so I switched to drums and as they say down South, I took to it like a duck to water. It flows very naturally and it just really works for me and I am not qualified to do much else. The product lines that I use the most are actually all of them. I spread it out. Every line has such different inherent qualities and they are all really good and they are all very good qualities to have. So for my current set-up, I am using an 18" K Dark Crash, K/Z Hihat combination, 20" A Custom Crash, 20" A Custom Ping Ride, 20" K Constantinople Medium Thin High, and 20" Crash of Doom. Now all these lines are inherently different and they all sound really different but when you put them together its like an orchestra of different things, orchestra of sounds and I like mixing it up that way. I don't like to keep everything compacted into just one series of cymbal. Got to spread the love man! What's next for me and the guys in the band, Zac Brown Band has plans to do a new record.
