Aluminum cestus/armored gauntlet

Mostly inspired by that little preview image of the metal cestus you can buy in Assassin's Creed 2 (the "climb leap glove" in Brotherhood). Made from one pop can, duct tape, and a liner glove I had sitting around. Took a few hours to build, overall. I was going to add the thumb knuckle guard piece, but I didn't have any aluminum left after the hand plate. A quick summation of the pieces: one plate for each part of the fingers, (three plus a knuckle piece), the big plate on the back of the hand, and only two plates on the thumb because I ran out, as I said. The hand plate is molded to the bones, and dips way down between the knuckles. Very little effect on mobility, as you can see in the video it's very flexible. I have small hands and I used my own hand as a mold/model, so it probably wouldn't fit anyone else very well. I don't like how I had to do the knuckles and the big plate though; the knuckles are held down at the back end by tape like the rest of the finger pieces, but they tend to point up because it's just a loop of tape holding the rest down. Same with the plate, except two huge loops on the bottom are the only fastening there, because I didn't want a huge strip going around the palm. Hey look i'm typing with it on rght now! Though not as fast as normaol because the tips of the finger plates at the end make it a little clumsy. images.wikia.com
