Two years ago his first Dakota album heralded one of the boldest branch-outs that's ever been undertaken by an EDM artist. Back as far as its turn-of-the-millennium origins, Markus' alter ego was always conceived as a channel through which he could explore the darker and more devoutly club side of his mind. In Cape Town he dropped the track to the crowd when Armin switched to the main room live stream on the radio while Leon was playing - later on Armin asked what the official title was, so they could put it in the official tracklisting. That's when they decided to give the track the title 'Cape Town'. Afterwards 'Cape Town' became Tune of the Week on the ASOT radioshow and all in all has been played for 10 times during the ASOT celebrations and the shows in between. Ever since it has been picked up by Ferry Corsten, Sander van Doorn, Markus Schulz, Bobina and Above & Beyond who all played it in their radio show and on the road multiple times. Needless to say, this is going to be a big one for Leon and his Streamlined imprint. Possibly one of the biggest trance records of 2011!

The city of Cape Town
Cape Town, known as South Africa's Mother City, has been continuously inhabited for three and a half centuries. It is a relaxed city and the emphasis is very much on an outdoor lifestyle.
