From C-SPAN's 1/30/11 "Q&A" interview, George W. Bush says he's through with politics. "I don't want to go out and campaign for candidates. I don't want to be viewed as a perpetual money raiser. I don't want to be on these talk shows giving my opinion, second guessing the current president. I think it's bad for the country, frankly, to have a former president criticize his successor. It's tough enough to president as it is without a former president undermining the current president. Plus, I don't want to do that. In other words, in spite of the fact that I'm now on TV, I don't want to be on TV...I tell people that one of the interesting sacrifices, I don't think you sacrifice to run for president, but to the extent you do is you lose your anonymity. I like the idea of trying to regain anonymity to a certain extent. And being out of the press, at least in this stage of the post presidency is something that makes me very comfortable and its somewhat liberating, frankly." Bill Kristol was a guest on CSPAN and took a call from an Iraq "war wife," and she let him have it. She obviously knew what she was talking about because she brought up the warmongers over at the American Enterprise Institute as people promoting this war. She called on the chickenhawks to institute a draft to give these suffering families a break...As you listen to his response, you know he wants more war and more war.

Included in her comments, "I had a procedure at 17 weeks pregnant with a child...that procedure is a procedure that I endured. I lost a baby. But for you to stand on this floor and to suggest, as you have, that somehow this is a procedure that is either welcomed or done cavalierly or done without any thought is preposterous."

Prior to this years' White House Correspondents' Association Dinner, this years' primary entertainer Seth Meyers talked with C-SPAN about the opportunity to perform.

a1b5jj.blogspot.com Kanjorski has since tried to make the same point several more times, and Kashkari as well, but no one is paying attention, see the following: a1b5jj.blogspot.com NOTE - Kanjorski's recollection of the dates may be inaccurate. The NYT shows the bank run as happening on the 17th 18th not the 11th. Some have alleged a 911 connection making the bank run an attack on the nation, but the failure of Lehman seems to have triggered widespread panic which accounts for the bank run. Limbaugh asserted a George Soros conspiracy theory which is pretty laughable. See this article: www.nytimes.com also a1b5jj.blogspot.com Wow, the nation's #1 bloviating traitorius demagogue, Rush Limbaugh played this very clip on his 2/10/09 show and has a direct link to it on his website!!!! No wonder it got 30000 hits in one day! Also, Olbermann used this clip on his 02/10/09 show, maybe after hearing it on Limbaugh's show. Olbermann's guest commentator was skeptical about Kanjorski's accuracy on the 550 billion number. Now quite a few news sites have links to this clip. At least, as far as I can tell the clip I posted is the only one on Youtube (though it has been cloned a few times via LiveLeak), and Olbermann featured a Youtube version which very likely is the same one I posted! April 30, 1999 www.amazon.com More Hitchens: thefilmarchived.blogspot.com English-American author, journalist, and literary critic Christopher Hitchens (born 1949) is noted for his scathing critiques of public figures. Bill Clinton, Henry Kissinger, and Mother Teresa were the targets of Hitchens' book-length studies No One Left to Lie To: The Triangulations of William Jefferson Clinton, The Trial of Henry Kissinger, and The Missionary Position: Mother Teresa in Theory and Practice respectively. Hitchens has also written biographical essays about those he greatly admires, namely Thomas Jefferson (Thomas Jefferson: Author of America), George Orwell (Why Orwell Matters) and Thomas Paine (Thomas Paine's "Rights of Man": A Biography). However, the vast majority of Hitchens' noteworthy critiques take the form of relatively short opinion pieces. His 1993 collection "For the Sake of Argument" included a section called "Rogues' Gallery", in an interview Hitchens explained: "For a lot of people, their first love is what they'll always remember. For me it's always been the first hate, and I think that hatred, though it provides often rather junky energy, is a terrific way of getting you out of bed in the morning and keeping you going. If you don't let it get out of hand, it can be canalized into writing. Daily News @ RevolutionNews.US — EX-CIA Ray McGovern "Cheney let the plane hit the Pentagon"... Transportation Secretary Norman Mineta told the 9 Commission in 2003 that when he arrived in the Presidential Emergency Operations Centre (PEOC) in the basement of the White House around 9:20 am on Sept. 11, Cheney was already there, as was Mrs. Cheney. The second World Trade Center tower was hit at 9:03. Mineta said that shortly after he arrived, he witnessed an exchange between Cheney and a young, unidentified man. Mineta seemed not to realize the importance of what he was saying. He told the commission: "During the time that the airplane was coming in to the Pentagon, there was a young man who would come in and say to the vice-president, 'The plane is 50 miles out. The plane is 30 miles out.' And when it got down to, 'The plane is 10 miles out,' the young man also said to the vice-president, 'Do the orders still stand?' And the Vice President turned and whipped his neck around and said, 'Of course the orders still stand. Have you heard anything to the contrary?'" Mineta's testimony places Cheney in the PEOC almost 40 minutes before the 9/11 Commission said he arrived (They say he got there around 10 am) Keep in mind that the alleged crash of American Airlines Flight 77 into the Pentagon is believed to have occurred at 9:38 am This testimony indicates that as the plane drew closer and closer to the Pentagon, the vice-president gave the order to do nothing. And this account <b>...</b>
