This was my first attempt at 'moving image'. I made this little film for the 'experiment' module of my media arts course, in which we were encouraged to try out someththing new and explore 'experimental' routes. I thought it would be interesting to make a sort of stop motion animation using long exposure photography... i love long exposure photography as it is, the fact that it enables you to capture a prolonged moment in one image.. fascinates me...but putting the images next to each other on a time-line, along with a score, to create the animation gives it another dimension. I had the (unfocused) concept of exploring the idea of multi-dimensions, alternative universes, dreamworld/wake-world/reality, time and space etc etc.... yeah, i know it's a bit of an incoherent concept, but I suppose that's just a reflecion of my confused and blurry comprehension of the whole subject matter. Anyway, I hope you enjoy......
