follow me on twitter @samkolder ***INSTRUCTIONS TO ACHIEVE PERFECT SLOW MOTION*** first off you need to have good footage. If you don't want to have any warping or artifacts try to have a clean background behind the subject that is being slowed down. As you can see in this video the slow motion only occurs when i am in the sky. (warping does occur but since the sky is basically the same colour you can't see it. I would have to say getting good footage is 90% of this effect. when i import my footage to premiere or after effect i make sure that i choose the right frame rate that i filmed in. (720p 60fps). when you apply twixtor to the video you need to also make sure the settings comply with your video. make sure your input framer rate is exact! i thought my camera shoots 60fps but it actually shoot 59.94. make sure you are exact. based on your footage from there you will have to play with it. try different blend modes etc.. i can't give a tutorial because everyones footage is different. just be patients and play around with it. Balloon Pop at 2000fps
Sorry, but a lot of the clarity has been lost, but hopefully this still shows the events nicely ^_^ We filled four balloons with a similar amount of water and hung them from custom-built scaffolding so they hung equally. We then shot them from close range using a small crossbow. With the naked eye, you cannot see how water retains its shape for the brief moments before it breaks. As a liquid, the molecules of water do have a weak bond between one another which are easily broken. For a few brief miliseconds, with the use of camera technology, you can see the water still holding those bonds and retaining the shape of the now absent balloon.

How I got 2000 fps using a fuji HS10 with HD video? easy, just take 60 fps video, and you get a video with HD Quality, then you just need to use some software like twixtor and slow down even more. note: this only works with certain subjects, the rule is simple, if the moving Object is blurred, then you wont be able to slow it down with software, if you take video from a colibri and the wings appears blurred in the video, you wont be able to slow down the video with software.
